went paragliding today at Ranau Borneo Paragliding and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. The instructor was completely irresponsible. On my very first fly, instead of flying properly, I dropped straight onto the hillside, dangerously close to the cliff. That is a serious safety risk and could have ended very badly.

What made it worse was the way the instructor treated me. I was injured (my leg hurt, and my hand was bleeding), but instead of helping me, he completely ignored me. All he said was “Naik, Naik” (“Go up, go up”) and left me there struggling on my own. I had to pull on long grass and climb back up by myself while injured. This is completely unacceptable.

When it was my husband’s turn, the same dangerous mistake happened to him too. That proves it wasn’t just “bad luck”, it’s their incompetence and negligence. Both of us were extremely upset and honestly, we felt abandoned and unsafe the entire time.

To make things worse, when my family showed the receptionist the photo of me stuck on the hill, her response was unbelievable, she dismissed it, saying “Ohh, it is no wind, not drop down.” This is not only insulting but shows zero responsibility for their customer’s safety and well being.

This experience was absolutely unacceptable. We will never return, and we strongly warn others to think twice before trusting this place with...

Went paragliding at Ranau with different companies, Borneo Paragliding is the worst. Beware of hidden clauses from this company, read their contract properly, if possible do not purchase from them. Gopro recording wasn’t working, even after 2 take off attempts, when ask for partial refund, said GoPro provided as FOC, so no guaranteed it works. Also don’t allow own phone recording. The flight was also short, probably less than 5mins. Went downhill immediately after took off.

When we raised these issues to them, the staff was pretty rude and said all these in their terms and conditions. Will report this incident to Sabah tourism board, such an embarrassment to Sabah tourism. Ranau Paragliding is...

These guys are exceptionally good. We didn't know that we needed to book beforehand. So we had called and asked if they allowed us to walk in which they did. We motorbiked to their little green outpost before the take off place. And got registered and waited for our turn. And they took us up a rocky road in 4 wheel drives to the take off place. Another wait again as it was a busy day. And then it was our turn. It was a really smooth ride in a scenic valley surrounded with the mountain views. The guides were friendly and professional.
