The caves are completely being destroyed by its infrastructure set for mass tourism. They said they are conservationists, but what a joke. A massive railed mainly concrete boardwalk sits ontop of the fragile cave with flood lights set everywhere. I asked our guide who seemed only competent to answer questions of children and point out rocks that looked like objects, why they are destroying the cave with all the lights and he said it was to see for safety. Yet there are lights over 10 meters away and very few lights on the walk way itself. I feel ashamed having paid for this style of tourism that people in flip flops can come and do no problem. The railway is there because apparently a guy wasnt paying attention and walked off. Very few people have torch lights. This is not a cave experience this is a money grab. Gulung Mulu has the potential to be the adventure capital of Malaysia with hikes, caving and water ways and its written that way, instead it leads to disappointment, which caused our group of four to cancel all other activities.

Main attraction here is the interesting rock formations. We came in the showcase tour and then followed up with Clearwater cave since they are so close. It cost 30myr for both. Whilst it's called the cave of the wind only 1 passageway actually has any wind. Mostly paved pathways with some stairs for ascent and descent but nothing too crazy. Definitely worth a visit when paired with the Clearwater showcave visit.

Visited the cave as part of Mulu National Park’s guided tour of this cave and the Clearwater cave. This cave is smaller, but has lots of interesting rock formations inside. Some stairs needed to get to the entrance and there are steps inside as well. Worth visiting if you are a cave enthusiast.

This cave (aka The Cave of Winds) is located just a few minutes upriver from the handicraft village. The cave gets its name from the cooling winds which blow through it. As with the other show caves in the national park, this one has a developed trail and internal lighting for a safe and enjoyable sightseeing experience. In the front section of the cave the pathway heads down a long tunnel before arriving at the loop through the more interesting rear section. The main feature of the cave is the Kings Chamber. This is a vertical shaft where a collapse occurred, and there’s now a hole in the cave ceiling some thirty meters above the pathway. At the rear of the cave, the pathway loops around a nice area of stalactites and stalagmites. The tour through this cave will normally take around one hour.
