Kampong Sting is part of our Bengoh Dam Hiking trip.

We paid RM70 per person for our tour which includes a local guide, packed home cooked lunch, entrance fees and boat ride.

Kampong Sting and the other 3 waterfalls are located at different area. Hence you may choose to visit Kampong Sting first early in the morning or to the waterfall first.

This trip we visited the waterfall first then only we visited Kampong Sting around 11.30am and we had our packed lunch here.

The hike is quite steep but not too far. Remember to wear proper hiking shoes or trail run shoes or kampong adidas as it could be slippery.

Upon arrival at the top, you will see two small platforms for photo and one with a swing that is build by the residents and they charge RM1.00 per person to enter the platform for photo. If you do not want to pay, walk further up a bit and you will find another platform at higher ground which is free. Of course the view are different at both platforms. πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

There few dogs πŸ• here but they are generally very friendly.

I think the view to visit in the morning is more to see the cloud sea and afternoon is the view of the Bengoh Dam. I have to say the view is very very...

A wonderful place with a great view. Went for an overnight stay and the experience was great.

[visited May 2022]

the hike to the top is steep and can be challenging - especially when you're carrying baggage for an overnight stay. Not recommended on bringing too much stuff

there are several homestays available. I stayed at the one at the highest point

lunch and dinner provided is very delicious

completely NO SERVICE for all telco during my visit

there are 2 shops selling mineral water, sodas, beer, maggi mee, and snacks. At a higher but still reasonable price

the power supply is unsteady during my visit - so better bring power banks

The only cons: probably due to it being a homestay, the owner does not seem to have a standard procedure for his operation. This has caused some confusion. [eg. when asked about the checkout time, the owner simply stated "up to you", which may be misleading as there will be other guests...

Really a great hidden gem place that maybe not many people know about. Such an awesome beautiful place and the sceneries extremely excellent out of the world feeling. You will need a boat ride to get there by the Bengoh Dam right up to Kpg Sting. Whomever loves a tropical view kinda island style view and out of the world experiences well this is the place to be. You can enjoy various beautiful waterfalls at certain locations and you will absolutely love the short escape scenary feel this is the place to be. Then some added adventure to it a challenge of hiking and jungle trekking to reach the locations which is...

20 to 30min boat ride from Bengoh Dam. Hike up about 15min without rest then will reach the top around 400M. Toilet available at the top. (20 sen charge) The hike is quite steep, still manageable for begginer hiker as well. However, it can be quite slippery during the raining season, need addidas Kampung to climb smoothly. Homestay available here.
