Tenggol isn’t just an island, it’s a diver’s fever dream with coral gardens, adrenaline-pumping currents, and the occasional whale shark photobomb that makes you forget how regulators work.

Yes.. whale sharks. Spotted between August and October, these gentle giants glide past like underwater buses with better manners. Blink and you might miss them. Or just panic‑flail and pretend you’re calm for the GoPro.

The water’s gin-clear, the reefs are alive like carnival floats, and the crowd is delightfully minimal. Tokong Laut is the star site, strong current, dramatic drop-offs, and marine life that doesn’t play small. Reef sharks? Sure. Turtles? All the time. Nudibranchs? Like confetti with gills.

Above water? Island life is basic but blissful.. no WiFi, no Starbucks, just sunburns and hammock therapy. Perfect if you want to log dives and unplug your brain.

Only 3 hours from KL to Kuala Dungun, then a short hop across the water, and you’re in Malaysia’s best-kept...

Hidden gems of terengganu,Pulau Tenggol. The beach to the palm at here like untouched by any human. And amazing experience too. To arrived at here you must take the bot express from Jambatan Kuala Dungun, should be like 45 minutes. And the best activity here is snorkling, where you can see the sea coral, sea turtle and may types of fish including the clown fish! Also you can visit another small mini island there too. Such an amazing experience i have at here. unfortunately there is no restaurant at here,so if you planning to stay until night,it will provided with your package or bring your own food. anyways the nature here is so claming and...

Pulau Tenggol is an amazing island that I highly recommend visiting. The island boasts pristine beaches, crystal clear waters, and diverse marine life, making it a perfect destination for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts. The locals are friendly and welcoming, and the food is delicious. The accommodations are comfortable and well-maintained, and the island has a peaceful and serene atmosphere. Overall, I give Pulau Tenggol a...

Small island of Terengganu that is good for diving/snorkeling if you prefer a different island than the usuals Redang/Perhentian/Lang Tengah. There's only 3 resorts here on this island so plan your trip accordingly. Boat ride from A'King Jetty in Kuala Dungun takes about 45mins to the island with only single trip to/from daily

Crystal clear water, a lot of corals and fishes, less crowded compare to Pulau Redang and Pulau Perhentian, best for diving and snorkeling. Take 45 minutes speedboat from Dungun, don't need to stay on the island. 😉
