It was my first-ever solo hiking experience. I took a grab from Plentong, picked up by 6:30 am and reached the foot of the Pulai mountain by 7:32 am and yeah, it was raining cats and dogs. I took the paved path for safety and familiarized myself with the temperature around me, rain and sweat merged like water and salt in my body 🤣🤣🤣. I reached the top 600MASL (tower) after 2 hours of pauses for drink and poses for selfie. I headed to the pinnacle with the military guard, he said people are not allowed there and cannot take picture, too. He is a kind talking authority. I think that is the tip part of 654MASL. Going down, I tried to tracked inside the forest , it's safe also but there are insects hi and helloing to me. You will find ribbons of red and yellow as a guide to in and out of the jungle side. I didn't push through to the depth of the jungle as I was alone and was raining still. I visited and fed my eyes with the beauty of falls, too. I will surely visit this forest again to explore it. There are toilets and Surau, Food stalls and others that are available down the Mountain foot. Try to visit Mt. Pulai and you will really love it! ❤️ Prinzest Joan

Lovely mountain to train for marathon as its tar road till the end!! N its distance n elevation is no joke!! Try it!! ..parking rm3 for a car will be collected.. saturday sundays can be crowded! Will be a great calorie burner!! REMEMBER ONCE U SEE A “stop” sign n front u can see like a dotted tape ..thats it ..dont try to take selfie near the tower ahead..soldiers will shout at u... so when u gona return mayb abt 100 meters u will see another road on ur left..go up the road..then u will still another tower..just walk right side by the fence then u will see a magnificent view!! Bcos the earlier peak will be disappointing as u cant see anything but from here u can see the whole lot..hopefully ths review will be useful as 1st time i missed ths view as i dnt know..so i went 2 time n it was nice but misty at the i went..when u cm down u can go to the waterfall n relax..we cooked magie n make coffee n had our lunch by the waterfall..carefull of ur bags n foods as monkeys watching u.. so keep it near the stones at the waterfall..tq n enjoyy!! A must try

Honestly I would call this a moderate to hard hike for beginners like myself. There's 2 ways to go up , tarmac or the nontarmac . ( shown by altrail ) this is my first time here so I am amazed that 60% up was moderate but 40% to the top was super steep and I guess it would get slippery at some parts as the road is uneven . As you hike up you'll see a public toilet and an office at the midway and you can stop at near the stream as well. To the top you can take photos at the celcom tower , the top tower is another 10mins up but it's guarded and you can't get in. Throughout the hike you'll meet plenty of people so don't be afraid. There's alot of insects and some mosquitoes. Bring or use replant. You'll be shaded along the way so if you're hiking later during the day it's fine. You'll need to pay rm1 at the entrance ( it depends if the person is there or not) , and rm3 for parking.

Mount Pulai(Gunung Pulai) - Adjacent to Kampung Sri Gunung Pulai and located about 15km from Pineapple Town Kulai District, Johore Darul Takzim, Malaysia. With the height of 654m above sea level Mount Pulai is an underrated destination that tourists are surprisingly unaware of 3 waterfalls/cascades and the streams. 🏞️ It's a good location for recreational and outdoor activities such as picnic or camping (over night stay), hiking and mountain climbing. Doable along the dry season every year from Mei to September. There're 2 trails that leading up to the peak/summit. Paved/tarmac road (all the way), no need permit - distance about 5km ++ and duration of 2 hours (one way/ascend). Forest/jungle trail which's starts at the top quarter of the destination and being the popular trail among local and outsider hikers. The former has a reputation for putting hikers/climbers out of breath with steep slopes and almost vertical rock wall near the peak. ⛰️ Avoid visiting after the rain to avoid being surprised by an unexpected 'leeches'. The hike itself to be moderately challenging, its take about 3.5 hours of continuous climbing on average for climbers/hikers to reach the peak/summit where there is a 🗼 telecommunications tower which prevent visitors/tourists from getting any higher. It involves some ropes climbing, clamberings over logs and rocks as well. There's a limited view at the top except the waterfall as it is surrounded by trees. Take nothing just a photo, left nothing except your footsteps. What you bring up you should bring down, don't mess with the...
