Twin Beach Sanctuary — Local services in Johor

Had a good 4d3n stay here at Twin Beach Resort. Food was amazing, service provided by all the staffs were a close match to a 5 star resort. We had the whole resort to ourselves as it wasn't peak season so it was a bonus. Overall, for the price paid which included boat trips with return, island hopping, snorkeling, kayaking, food, accommodation definitely worth every penny. Rooms are more to kampung style living. Beds were comfy and the rooms came with aircond but most importantly they're clean. Electricity by generator, so only available from 7pm till 9am. But we spent most of our time outdoors so all is good. Only thing we hoped we were prepared for were the sand flies, it can be very annoying and itchy. 4 starts because of the warm, friendly staff who were very accomodating. They ran the generators an extra hour every afternoon for us to get a longer rest, they let us use all the equiptment anytime without extra charge, the food was very nice and such generous portions, they made us coffee anytime we wanted, they let us ride with them in the speed boat when they were making trips to the mainland, snorking trip was included in the full board package. One less star because the rooms were quite rudimentary and smelled a little musty and some things in the bathroom didn't work. We were quite disappointed the first day, but we spent so little time in the rooms and so much time by the beach, it really didn't matter. Everything else made up for it. The facilities are very basic. The generator runs from 6pm till 9am, and again for a while in the afternoon. The air conditioning works well and the nights were comfortable. But it was good enough for us as we were hardly in the rooms during the day. We had the whole place to ourselves since it was low season. Private beach all day. The staff were really helpful and accomodating and they kept us well fed. At first we were a little disappointed with how basic the facilities were but in the end it turned out great! We loved our stay there. The atmosphere is very pleasent and the area is very clean. We could use the kayaks as much as we wanted to for no extra charge, and snorkelled as much as we wanted to around that area.
