Stayed in this resort for 4 days and 3 nights, and this is a conclusion I came up with.
Room: Just to remind you this resort is built on a hill beside a small village, so do not expect too much luxury for their room (Unless you're booking the presidential or royal room). On the first two nights, my family stayed in Room A (European-style Room) and SP Room (Presidential and Royal Room). Room A was decent, not very large but it was still enough for 4-6 pax. It has a private bathroom inside the room, quite tiny but cleanliness is guaranteed. Body wash, shampoo and towels are supplied by the resort, but toothbrushes and toothpaste aren't. For Room SP, everything is pretty much just perfect, the room design would be a 5-star hotel kind of level. Both of these rooms are good enough compared to some of the others, so make sure you book yourself the right one.
Bathroom: If your room comes with a private bathroom, you booked the right room. But if it doesn't, the room you booked isn't the best choice ever. For smaller (cheaper) rooms, you'll have to shower in the public bathroom, which isn't as clean as the private ones. I stayed in Room C (Glasshouse) which doesn't have a private bathroom. The public bathroom was lack of maintenance, was very dusty and full of insects. If you're ever scared of being lonely in the shower, there is no need to worry, because there'll be a whole ecosystem in the bathroom to keep you company.
Food: This is a big issue for me. They serve Chinese and Malay food most of the time, all are guaranteed to be halal which is a good thing (although they serve alcohol at the same time), but the taste is just not pleasing. I believe that they serve the same breakfast every day, there are not many options too. And again, just to remind you that you're half a mile above sea level, do not expect the food they serve to be fresh from the farm or the ocean. For their buffets, beware of the seafood and meats served. I've tried all the dishes served and almost a quarter of them aren't fresh, some even taste half rotten (veggies are fine). You can always bring your own cup noodles or instant food, in case you're hungry in the middle of the night.
Entertainment: In this resort, you'll most likely stay in for the whole day, so it can be very boring for you if you plan to stay for a long time. There are many entertainments available, such as a swimming pool, karaoke and live band performances at night. Of course, you can always pay for further activities such as hiking, archery, ATV driving etc. About the rooftop bar, there are a variety of cocktail and alcohol for you to give a try and I'd say they're pretty good! The price is higher there though, I believe it is because of the location.
Environment: You'll be staying in a resort that is very close to Mother Nature, so the environment could be very relaxing. The humid, chilly and windy atmosphere may attract you, it is the most suitable to rest or spend the holiday with your family. Also, the view from rooftops are stunning! For Chinese tourists, this place may be easy for you to explore around, every sign set up is written in English and Chinese characters. I'll have to give a shout-out to the gardeners there, for doing such an amazing job on maintaining the plants around the resort. (Fun tip: beware of dropping durians)
Accessible: Since this resort was built on a hill, you'll have to walk uphill and downhill every day to reach the cafeteria or other places. So it may not be convenient for elder tourists to stay here as it can be very tiring just to go around the resort.
The staff in the resort is very kind and passionate, they absolutely made my stay much better. But something tells me that it is the management that caused this resort to be worse than it should've been. Anyways, I'm still giving it a 4 star since many beautiful memories were made there, definitely worth a try but be wise on your...

What i like about this place, was the animal farm, kids had fun. The swimming pool is nice. The decoration is pretty interesting i have to say.
What i think can be improved. 1 key card only for a 4 single bed room is too tricky. Food is more like school canteen style, which is fine. It trigger is the Customer service, which is way off par for the price we pay.
The turn off for the whole thing, how irresponsibly the resort can be towards the safe of the guests. Buggies are used up and down hill. While we are waiting for the buggy at the buggy station, we the parents we refill drinking water, while our friends couple and and 2 year old as well, sat and waited for the driver. My 4 year old doing her thingy, 2 year old on the backseats of the buggy, all under our sight supervision. Driver was smoking just right there, taking his break.
Next thing i know, the buggy started to move and slide down hill. my 2 year old at the driver seat. Parking break released. we grabbed the buggy but it was just too sloppy and heavy. worst pictures filled my mind, the slope is going down right to the restaurant. Fortunately, it hit the parked Toyata Hilux and stopped, seconds before another buggy drove up. 2 year old was not seriously injured, just bruised on the ribs.
How can you be so irresponsible parking such unsafe killing machine at the middle of the resort? Imagine there are other kids walking up? or there is no Hilux stopping the buggy? How dare you let my kid on that buggy and not warning us parents or put a barrier?
I was furious and worried sick. Thanked God and took my traumatized kid. Bilut staff, the smoking driver, was right there witness the whole thing, just about 5 feet away, came with the ciggy still in his mouth, and took pictures of the car. Not a single word was uttered.
We settled in, and got a text msg, asking for compensation for the lamp. Checkout the photos (taken by the smoking driver). RM300. Not a single apology. I spoken to the Manager Daniel that night. I learnt this wasnt the first time buggy incident happen, yet is the customers' fault. Advised them to improve the safety precautions. Safety briefings, barriers, or warning signs, whichever. Bilut failed to acknowledge that safety of the customers is their responsibly.
I told them to send me an official email regarding this matter, as i wanted to make sure there are follow ups to the incident, or it is only matter of time some kid got killed. And of course, i want to make sure the money goes to where it should be, to Bilut Resort official account. I was instructed to pay via TnG to a personal account. We exchanged email, and got no reply.
This trip was organized by a family friend. I didnt want to put her in a difficult position. Bilut went directly to her, and she paid the RM300. Smart move. I rewired the cash, case closed. If I had made this booking myself, i would probably had bring this up to another level.
Long story short, this will be our first and last visit to Bilut. Ironically we were thinking of coming back here for CNY family gatherings near future initially when we just arrived.
Check out the whatsapp msg from the staff to his boss, claiming they warned us many times. It's a circus. They care only about tickets sale.
*Durians. If not because holiday mood, many would have made a big fuss about the Musang King they paid and come with giant seeds. Sneaky! The D24 was pretty good, even better than the...
