  1. We are a group of 14 elderly from Singapore with the youngest aged 66, stayed for 2 nights, 29/7-30/7/24. In Mar 24, we paid 50% deposit for the stay in Jul for 4 triple sharing rooms with bathroom attached and one twin sharing without bathroom. Just imagine, he didn't honor our booking and when we arrived on 29/7 around 10+pm, he assigned us triple sharing room without bathroom on the second floor. We have to lag our luggages, climbed the stairs and shared common bathroom. Last year, I went to Bentong for durian, it was a very satisfying trip that I stopped eating durian back home, Singapore. After deposit made, we looked forward to the stay, plantation durian should taste very good isn't it. OMG to the contrary, I strongly agreed with Tom, Zhi Ling, Mayvis, Cecilia and Mei Huey reviews that we shouldn't trust YouTube review and Jimmy's Durian is indeed sub-standard. If only I were to read your reviews prior to arrival then we don't have to subject our taste bud to the horrible durian. After arrival around 11+pm, we paid RM567 and tried a few durian. Jimmy was very defensive when we complained about the taste and that the fruits appeared open, mentioning fermentation all those rubbish. Let me tell you Jimmy, I didn't argue with you then cos it was quite late and I was very tired after a long drive. Most importantly, the amount spent is chicken feet to us, we can afford it.
  2. Another incident made me very upset and angry- we returned from forest walk, he called up to me and reprimanded me infront of other dinners alleging that we stole his durian during the walk by producing 2 durian husk. He informed that he engaged his staff to look out for durian thief and he has to do something since they reported the matter to him, and for this case he will close one eye. I was so furious with his accusation that I looked into his eyes and asked him whether did his staff saw us opened the spikey fruit with our bare hand and ate it and he told me NO. If we, elderly ladies can open the spikey durian with our bare hands, I think we will be reknowns. I have never heard of people able to do so.
  3. We spent a few thousand RM having durian in Bentong town and it was fantastic and enjoyable. Not only the durian tasted yummy, stall holder are honest, nice and humble. Some stall holders know Jimmy and told us that he often boast of his product. I told them simply that indeed if his product is really good then we won't spent so much RM eating durian in town. It will be much comfortable eating at the plantation if only the stay and food are up to standard. His product including the expensive dinner are rubbish that was why we refused to spend time at the plantation though we paid so much for the stay. We only go back to sleep and bath.
  4. Jimmy please be reminded that we are your customers. I think it's high time your read books or attend course on customer service which is very lacking in you. To be honest, you don't even deserve a star but I have to give inorder to...

was invited by my close friends for staycation with durians. they managed to book 1 room for 2 paxs and another room for 4 paxs. before we came , my friends text the owner to check for farmstay facilities and other info, owner doesn't reply a word only send a map ( which we already know the location- we want to know what facilities u have ) check in and greeted by owner - the way he talk is really rude.

during collection of keys, my friends who is paying wanted to collect keys for 2 rooms, owner insist we collect our own keys personally. refused to pass the keys who pays for the both room.

that weekend they are not fully book, owner put our room separately and when my friends ask the owner if he can put our room nearby - owner answer ' your friends is not children'. 😒

durians - apple to apple comparison - price definitely much higher than the bentong town.. before we came to check in we had 2 rounds durian before we check in to have 3rd round. for the taste wise i wouldn't comment as a durian lover, taste is very individual.

room- 2 single bed and another room is 2 queen bed . no tv only bed and sofa , lamp and air-cond. We doesn't knows all is shared toilet until we checked in our rooms - damn disappointed.

night - whole night no sleep due to too noisy (room next to highway, top floor baby running and crying at night , even ppl farted upstairs also can hear so clear ) never stay here if you are light sleeper unless u can sleep death! i come here to relax not suffer !

seriously room price quite expensive for the this type of environment-...

We visited here due to the recommendation from a YouTuber that the durians and western food are superb. But they will let u down.

The musang king durian tasted sour and we told the lady but she was defensive and told us that she can't do anything as it was produced from durian itself, faint. Not worth at all, selling RM55 but I visited the durian stall right few hundred meter away was selling just at RM38 with same size n better quality.

For the western food, we order one spaghetti n one durian fried rice. The rice was very very hard n not fully cooked n we told the boss about the issue she mentioned to us that it has to be hard or else they can't cook it. Faint again! The durian fried rice cost us RM65!!!! The mistake we made is that we didn't ask for price first, cuz the lady boss mentioned to us is today's special only n nobody had doubt on them cuz they seems like very friendly before u order, after ordering and when the foods served was another story.

We saw a lot of tourists brought by the tour guides. I think a local won't visit here 2nd time, this orchard only suits for foreign tourist (for one time...

Durians! Out of normal season (January), so apparently one of the few places you can get durian at this time of year is in Pahang. This is a durian orchard just outside Bentong which is in Pahang just across the border from Selangor and about an hours drive from KL. We had a pleasant drive here and felt quite welcome by the owners of the place, Jimmy and his wife who chatted to us as we sampled their durian which was fresh off the trees. We tried the Musang King which cost RM45/kg (I'm told that this is very reasonable) which was pretty good. Bonus is that there was no lingering smell on your hands after you finish. We also had the 101 durian for RM22/kg which we all felt was better value and just as good, if not better than MSK. You can have a walk through the orchard and see the durian trees, replete with durians waiting to fall. I would recommend a trip here, particularly if you are visiting Malaysia outside of the normal durian season (July/Aug).
