Amazing place to do a retreat. I stayed here for 9 days in silence and learned so much. This place is an absolute recommendation if you want to explore defocused open awareness meditation. I did the guided retreat. The meditation teacher miss Chuah was very kind and had so much experience so I learned a lot from her. The guided meditation, dhamma talks and chanting were prerecorded by the founder and head monk Aggacitta and were of high quality. There was an availability to have a long 1on1 session with him and that was one of the best conversations I had in my life. He is a very special and inspirational man. The dorms are basic but nice, the food is different each day but generally very good, the meditation halls (3 different ones) are amazing. For me personally it was a bit tiresome to have my last meal of the day at 12h and to sleep only 7h per night but I also learned from this. Allthough a big part of the area is only available for monks, there is still enough nature and meditation places to enjoy. Just so you know: its not possible to go to the water-meditation hall on the photo's. But instead there is a beautiful jungle meditation hall where you can get in tune with all the loud jungle sounds. You have to surrender your telephone and that is actually very beneficial for your brain (detox). I like to thank all the volunteers for the amazing work they do and I recommend everyone...

Sasanarakkha Buddhist Sanctuary sits in a hilly area within natural greenery on the outskirts of Taiping. It has a monastery for Buddhist monks as well as a Retreat Centre for lay practitioners. The scenery here is extremely peaceful and calming. Arrangements need to be made with the office for transport up to the hill. Among the many beautiful facilities include shrine, office, multipurpose hall, dining hall, meditation halls in forested areas, guest lodges and numerous walking paths for outdoor meditation. There are regular meditation retreats held here. The office staff are very helpful and approachable. I enjoyed the scenery and sitting in meditation here. If you are looking for inner peace, this is the place to come. Super highly...

The bhikkhu panna dhammika, has violated the bhikkhu vinaya, many times, emphasized many times and repeatedly argued that has not break a single rule (List of the 227 rules of pātimokkha).

If the bhikkhu is not well trained, PLEASE do not send the bhikkhu to another monastery, because the bhikkhu creates a lot of conflict.

''the human'' in charge of the “Sāsanārakkha Buddhist Sanctuary” transferred the ''irresponsible'' monk to the Theravada temple in Malacca, is not...

I have spent two weeks at Sāsanarakkhā for a solo retreat. It was a beautiful period of reflection and being. A few days from now I will come back to volunteer for a month, and afterwards to sit in silence for the solo retreat for another month. I think that testifies to how much I love the place. The mountainous area is deeply calming and supportive for your practice, and it is a blessing to be able to volunteer and show my appreciation. 🙏
