Silverlakes Village Outlet — Local services in Perak

Google maps brought me to a wrong entrance; it should be 1 entrance before that. Anyways, not sure it was my fault or the maps. The place or the concept is rather similar to the Design Village up north in Batu Kawan, near Penang. It has a single storey outlets spread out in a vvast area beside a beautiful lake beside Lat's Gallery (our famous local artist). On the day of visit (14th. Oct.23) it's not really opened yet, well at least the shops aren't. Saw a couple of food courts, just opposite one another but unsure if it's operational. There a small counter selling some drinks. Many kiddies ride, also unsure if it's operational yet. Surau is available. Overall conclusion; you can enter for sightseeing & enjoy the beautiful view of the silverlake. Silverlakes village outlet has been built beautifully, aesthetically pleasing and designed to navigate comfortably The complex is Bordering a lake and surrounded by old trees. There are many fun activities for children, however need to bring in more stores for the shoppers. Secondly the food court is very disappointing with not much variety and no buzz in the place. It would be attractive if some local food chains are brought in for variety like Mary Brown (MB) chicken, The chicken rice shop, Ramly Burger, some local multi Cusine such as Indian and Chinese food. We didn’t know about the mall and chanced upon it when going the KTMB train station opposite the outlet mall. Hope there is more advertising to attract the Ipoh & Perak folk, so that we have more such locations to have a family day out with...

I believe this is place will had a similar concept like JPO( Johor Premium Outlet) & AFamosa Freeport & thus... Its now a northern part of Peninsular Malaysia's shopping hub for premium Brand clothing, sports wares, chocolates/sweets , etc. Hopefully there will hobby shop( collectible toy's , model kits etc) too. Unlike the former, this place had many attractive activities for kids such as boat rides, train rides, children playgrounds, electric car, mini funfair etc. The most prominent is definitely the Dinosaurs Encounters where they had Dinosaurs animatronics on display.
