We took a day tour by boat to Meedhoo Island, and it was a truly memorable experience. Surrounded by the beauty of the sea, we got to explore the island’s peaceful countryside and witness the local way of life. We visited small grocery shops, saw how the locals live, and the highlight was watching traditional wooden boat and ship building. The craftsmen explained the process very clearly, which made it both educational and fascinating. There is also only one school on the island, where children learn English using laptops—a great example of education in a simple yet effective setting. It was a great cultural experience, and we highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to explore the authentic island life of the Maldives.

Beautiful and quiet island. Modernised and very clean! The beach at the end of the island is a lovely spot for sunset with all the joalis! Best restaurant on the island is Orchid Garden; great food and service, very reasonable pricing and portion sizes are prefect. The staff are really nice and attentive and paying is easy too. There are quite a few shops on the island, with the best three grocery stores being Lool, iDear and SixB; the latter of which sells Magnum ice creams :P

Worst experience in Meedhoo island... very expensive high-speed boat trip with zero entertainment or things to do... no good local food option available except grocery stores... Souvenir shops are the worst with no variety or quality... local residents are very polite and humble... they respect the foreigner guests... Apart from that total waste of time and money 💰 ...

Very quiet and nice Island. There lives around 2000 domestic people. In the island are several shops, school, hospital, bank... You can walk from one end to another for 5 minutes, but there is still something nice to discover. Definitely recommending to visit and see the real Maldivian live. Only minus is, that the people don't care so much about cleaning the island, especially beaches. I saw several ladies to broom the streets and true is that central of the island is really clean, but you can find so many cans and plastic everywhere around the beach, in the seaport etc.. But still definitely recommended to visit! It is...
