Tourists looking for souvenirs will want to head to the arts and crafts market ("Marché d'artisanat"), an enclosed area within the market where wood, textile, leather, metal and jewelry craftsmen work and offer their wares. Some vendors have more than one shop, and may send an employee to the other shop if you ask for a product they don't have on hand where you are shopping.
