What an incredible experience I had riding a 4wheeler for the first time! The staff at Real Baja Tours was beyond amazing! They taught me how to ride, and took a private tour with JOEY! He was such an awesome guy to teach me safety in the beginning, always checking my helmet, googles and bandana for being secure. As I explained that I was a virgin rider…He took us out on the beach riding, in the beautiful mountains and stopped along the way for pictures and patient with me as I walked along the beach to get a video of the waves crashing. Half way through the ride I explained that I wanted to go faster.. he laughed and said you are going fast for a new rider! I begged him that I was really ready for more adventure and so he had this awesome personality and started singing like a virgin song by Madonna, he didn’t believe it was my first time riding as I was able to follow his hand signs.. luckily I had experience being on the back of Harley’s so I was ready to go faster! We did, I think the best part was jumping at high speed and he was like ooh ok - I kept giving him the thumbs up entire ride. He had a partner who would pop up every now and then and take phenomenal pictures. I found this out as I saw him with a professional camera. After the ride, they had free tequila tasting, it was fun too.. got a bottle of almond tequila. The manager, Ignacio was super sweet and provided a pink shirt to me because I really loved Joeys Real Baja Tours sweatshirt! They have horseback riding here as well, wish I had enough time for that fun adventure but next time. I highly recommend a private tour or perhaps the 4 hour ride that included food, that would be my next adventure. They also had the cutest little dogs when you arrive, it warmed my heart to pet the friendly dogs as my dog had passed away last week. I’m definitely recommending Real Baja tours to anyone who...

I recently booked an ATV tour for six people with Real Baja Tours, and unfortunately, the experience fell short of our expectations. Despite being assured that no prior experience was necessary, we faced unexpected challenges during the tour.
Upon arrival, we received a basic briefing, and when one of our group struggled with the ATV, the response was unexpectedly harsh - we were told that if we couldn't keep up, we'd be sent back. This contradicted the earlier assurance that this was a recreational activity suitable for all.
Moreover, the promise of a private tour came with a catch. One guide was accommodating, but the manager insisted on cutting our tour short, claiming we couldn't keep up. This turned what should have been a leisurely experience into a stressful and disappointing outing.
Adding to the frustration, the pricing structure seemed intentionally confusing. Rates varied based on booking method, and fellow tourists were quoted different amounts for the same services. It felt like a tourist trap, especially with the questionable charges for park fees on a public beach.
A notable point of contention was the photography rates, ranging from $80 for 5 photos to $125 for 30, with no clear justification for the discrepancy offered to different groups! I guess it was gauged who can pay how much!
Lastly, be cautious about payment methods. Using their website incurs one rate, while local agents offer a cheaper alternative. Credit card users face an additional "machine fee" ranging from 10% to 20%, which seems like an unnecessary and arbitrary charge.
In summary, Real Baja Tours left us disappointed and feeling taken advantage of. I would caution others to thoroughly consider their options before choosing this company. There are likely better and more transparent tour operators...
Read moreI was picked up right in the lobby for the adventure I was about to go on! The energy in the van was a lazy excitement, after-all it was 10 am. We arrived about 30 minutes later and then filled out our paper work. But we opted for a private tour instead of going with a group.
Jose Cedillo was our guide and after about 15 minutes or so he realized we were good riders and decided to step it up a bit! We did some tight trails with hard banks along with some high speed runs across the flat river-bed. Of course we couldn't keep up because Jose was on a bigger quad than us. We did pretty good though! We went all the way from one end of the beach to the other, along with lots of playing in the dunes! He took us on a great ride, definitely to be remembered for life! We came with a special coupon and the owner, Ignacio "Nacho" Marban gave us a great deal on our adventure!
Jose, thanks again for the awesome ride! Nacho, thank you for hooking us up! You are far too kind!
Another great thing about this location is the presence of Sr. Coopers Cantina! Who doesn't want an awesome drink after a ride on an ATV? My recommendation is to try the Hibiscus Margarita! The owner, John-Michael (Margarita Creator Extraordinaire) was a lot of fun to hang out with He had great recommendations on where to enjoy Downtown fun.
John-Michael, I had a great time hanging with you. I look forward to the next Cabo adventure!
On the way back instead of dropping us of at the hotel I asked the driver, Lalo, to drop us at his favorite taco shop in town. He obliged and we were not disappointed! You'll have to talk to him to find it!
I came out here back in the 2000's and I had the same experience with my mom. I really think that it was these guys! But it was so long ago I just...
