I was very disappointed with chef Onyi’s services. After reaching out to her for a buffet style dinner, it took her several weeks to contact me back. We then finally got in contact to agree on a menu, that I fully paid in advance. The day of the event, she arrived 1h late for the set up, and 2 of the menu items were missing (plantains and a stew). When I called her the next day and said that the the plantains were missing, she mentioned that she couldn’t find any ripe ones at the store the days before the event. Which I would have understand if only she would have informed me in advance. If I wouldn’t have asked about the missing plantains, she wouldn’t have mentioned she didn’t include them. For the missing stew, she said she didn’t realize it was missing. The rest of the food was good, but a little overpriced for what it was. She told me she would give me a refund for the missing items. When trying to contact her about the refund, she never answered my calls and texts, and I never got the refund. I think that Chef Onyi is a good cook, but unfortunately she is not very...

My overall experience with Chef Onyi and the Kitchen Finesser was more than amazing. From the presentation to food quality to taste, I could not have asked for a better chef for my wedding. It was beyond our expectations for this very special evening. Chef Onyi is very detail oriented and has the perfect experience to create a very high end event at a reasonable price.
