Unforgettable Tour with an Amazing Guide – A Must-Do in Ensenada!

We had the pleasure of having an incredible tour guide, Daniel, who stayed with us for the entirety of our five-hour trip. From the moment we met him, he made us feel comfortable and taken care of. He was extremely knowledgeable about the terrain and took us to all Three excursions we had booked plus a quick stop for a bite to eat . Our adventure included private horseback riding on the beach, shopping at La Bufadora, and enjoying an amazing, authentic fish taco restaurant that he personally recommended. To top it off, he took us to our final destination—a relaxing one-hour massage—before safely getting us back to our cruise ship. His hospitality and expertise truly made our experience unforgettable!

For the horseback riding portion, we didn’t know what to expect since it was our first time. When we first arrived, the location felt a little sketchy, and the horses looked a little thin. However, the horse handlers were fantastic, ensuring we were comfortable and safe despite the language barrier. They guided us down a beautiful trail leading to a breathtaking beach, where we enjoyed an incredible ride along the shoreline. Our guide even helped us collect seashells, and the most magical moment was spotting dolphins in the ocean.

Our second experience was to La Bufadora. It was a little overwhelming with all the vendors trying to sell to us Items ,my son even had a panic attack at one point . But we still had a great experience and found some amazing deals. Probably wouldn’t recommend La Bufadora just because it was so overwhelming With vendors, pushing items in your face.

Next stop was amazing fish tacos. The employees were so funny and the food was exquisite.

Last stop was an amazing one hour massage. It was our first massage didn’t know what to expect. My husband actually fell asleep and was snoring because It was so relaxing. Definitely get your massage to end the perfect tour

Overall, this was an unforgettable adventure, and I would absolutely do it again! My only wish is that the horses were given a little more care, but everything else exceeded expectations. If you book this experience, definitely request Daniel—he made our trip...

Wow! What an incredible experience, right from the moment I booked. Received an email from the owner, Jesse, with clear directions on where to go to meet him and the driver who would be taking us to our excursion.

My daughter and I disembarked the ship in Ensenada and easily found Jesse and our driver, Jesus S. They greeted us with an easily-identifiable sign so we knew exactly who they were, and Jesus pulled up the car to take us to the beach where we would be horseback riding. We were early for our scheduled time, but they were ready for us.

Jesus was wonderful! He was so friendly, his vehicle was spotless, and he even offered to stop anywhere we requested to shop or grab food. He told us a little about Ensenada and the areas we drove by as we made our way to the beach.

When we got to the spot we would be horseback riding, the horses were all tacked up and ready to go. Jesus said he would wait for us while we had our excursion. We hopped on, and our guide took us over to the beach right away. I had expected to wait for a group of people to head out with us, but the entire experience was private!

Our guide walked beside us as my daughter and I rode the horses. She rode a beautiful gray horse named Estrella, and my adorable brown horse was named Indio. We were on the horses and out at the beach by around 10am, and it was incredible. There wasn't a single other person (or horse!) on the beach. It was gorgeous, peaceful, and one of the most serene experiences I've had. This excursion exceeded my every expectation!

After our horseback ride at the beach, Jesus offered to take us to see La Bufadora, or to do some shopping or grab lunch. The rest of the family was waiting for us back on the ship, so we reluctantly declined. The beach ride was only 15 minutes from La Bufadora, and, in hindsight, it would've been nice to add it on. Definitely something to consider for the next time we head to Ensenada.

Jesse over at Ensenada Excursion & Tours made this first time experience seamless for my family. This was our first time coming off a cruise port and booking the experience of Horseback Riding in the mountains, Zip lines, authentic tacos and massage at a spa.

It is advertised that the horseback riding is 60-75 mins in the mountains through echo canyon with a different route returning from where you started. Unfortunately, this was not the case for us. I tracked the horseback riding from start to finish with a total runtime of less than 33 minutes.

Zip lines was surprisingly a wonderful experience, especially for the kids. With stunning views and from 5 lines and 5 bridges. We saw a few bearded dragons along the way. Our daughters did not meet the height requirement for 3/5 bridges just shy of 50" so be advised they will have to take an alternate route meeting you at the next course with another guide as you pass through.

When we stopped for tacos, the venue works with the driver to accommodate. Seating was arranged to allow our family of six to sit together. Though there was a bit of a language barrier to ordering, google translate came through. Food/service was 10/10.

Once we arrived at the spa, we were greeted by the host. This was booked last minute as a special offer for doing the other activities. My wife and I settled on the hot stone massage for 60 minutes. Our kids waited outside our door where there were couches, while my wife and I were in a separate room with tables to lay on. This was a nice way to end the 1.5 hours of riding horses, crossing bridges and zip lining.

Javier the driver was a wonderful guide who took us from site to site. He's a huge basketball fan and was excited to talk about the Lakers and Wolves since we came from MN. I would highly recommend and come through if ever back...
