I booked this for a private event for 18 guests (male & female) on a Friday before my friend's wedding. It was amazing! I coordinated the private booking from the US via WhatsApp and used google translate to assist. It was an easy process. The coordinator was friendly and responsive to my questions given the time difference. As a private party we had the facility to ourselves which included access to the indoor/outdoor thermal pools. We organized various package services listed on the website and lunch served in the overlooking veranda (both based on each of the 18 people's specific service/drink package and lunch request which we provided in advance). When we arrived, we were greeted and shown into the locker rooms for changing. The facility was clean and had an attendant for the ladies room. Robes & sandals were provided as well as secure lockers for the ladies. The bar staff was very attentive and quick to replenish our beverages. The Thermal baths were wonderful. The water was warm, clear, and clean. The indoor thermals have an outside nook where the bar is located. The grounds surrounding the facility had beautiful manicured landscaping & gardens around the outdoor pool and veranda. There are lounge chairs available for sunbathing in the outdoor pool area. We reserved the space for 6 hours (10am - 4pm). They were able to accommodate the 17 people (one opted out of a massage and just enjoyed the thermals) who requested massages using 4 massage therapists in 2 rooms that can service 2 people at a time using a curtain divider. The main course lunch options were Arrachera or Chicken breast with a salad appetizer and custard dessert. All of which was prepared perfectly and tasted delicious. I chose this location specifically because it does not allow children. This place is fantastic and I would absolutely book a private event with them again. I cannot recommend the Mayan Baths...
Read moreThis place is amazing. My wife and I went in August 2023. So I read the bad ratings. We had no such experience. Here’s a few tips. The road is fine. Come in off Hwy 51. The last mile or two off 51 is cobblestones. Somewhat like is in all of SMA. Here’s another tip. Tip your taxi driver well and ask him to return at a specific time. If you’ve tipped him well he will likely return especially if told you’ll give him the same on return. There is a bar code you can use on your phone at the facility to summon a cab. But I only had a 3g signal (T-Mobile). Yes it is relatively expensive. But you’re paying for exclusivity and no kids. I think they limit attendance to 50. BTW get a reservation. Use WhatsApp. Pay the deposit with PayPal. They want you to absorb the service charge. No trip to OXXO or any bank etc. Get the couples massage. It was simply amazing. The room is a very calming grotto. We arrived at 10 am and our massage was at 11. That left the rest of the day for lunch and the hot springs. Lunch is also a bit pricy but was very good. We don’t drink so I can’t say about alcohol. And this is a hot springs pool. They drain it daily. The water comes into a central area hot and the moves through their system. As it moves it cools off. The cooled off area is in the sun. That’s where you can order drinks. Bring change for tips. It’s how they get paid. The pool waiter (he’s in the water with you), the massage therapist, the changing room, the lunch waiter. And…the dude at the exit. You want an exclusive, un crowded, no kid experience. This is the place. I considered it perfection. Oh. One last thing. They’re only open on Saturday and Sunday. You need a reservation. Read...
Read moreThis place is impossible to get into. Our family of 9 drove for 2 hours to get to this highly praised place on a Thursday only to find the place closed and none of the phone numbers posted worked. One was disconnected, nobody answered another one posted on the wall to make reservations. We kept calling and when after few more tries someone finally answered, we've been told we could not get in until Saturday. They've literally missed out on thousands of pesos that day. I'm starting to suspect that the place is overrated and is being agressively advertised on YouTube by people who've been paid to vlog there. What's the point if you refuse to let people in? We were the only ones there and the drive to get there!! Oh that drive. That was a cobblestone nightmare as this place is in the middle of nowhere. We would not be trying again and I wouldn't recommend it since any place which makes you jump through hoops to get in usually just isn't worth...
