We went here as part of a "Tour to Cuernavaca & Taxco" with ZuniTours. You spend more time in the van/road. This is the first stop in Taxco. They do a mini presentation stating that you shouldn't buy elsewhere stating you will be taken advantage of by "fake silver" as a method & sales pitch to their own benefit. The pieces are definitely outdated, and prices are "tourist friendly" meaning higher in cost.

The tour guide then proceeds to take you upstairs to the only restaurant in that area "El Paraiso" a buffet with cold, bland overpriced food ($250 pesos per person/ drinks are not included in the rate)

After- you are then taken to downtown to only spend about an hour to explore, but it is extremely impossible since there's a lot of walking.

Also, keep in kind the tour guides most likely receive a cut from the purchases made at the silver shop & restaurant.

Please save your time and money. There's plenty of small shops and restaurants...

I went on a tour from Mexico City to Taxco, Guerrero, there were 14 of us, we stop at this business before we got to downtown Taxco for their benefit the tour company get a commission for everything that you buy, we stay a long time there, when we got to downtown Taxco there were a lot of silver jewelry with better quality and excellent prices. Will never do...

El día Domingo 15 de Diciembre fui en un Tour a Taxco a su negocio de plata, prácticamente obligada por el guía, ya en el lugar después de la explicación y de todas las advertencias de que en otros lugares la plata no es realmente auténtica si no una mezcla de otros materiales, decidí comprar unas joyas, aún encontrandolas caras. Me lleve una sorpresa muy desagradable este día al querer usar las prendas los aretes están negros de la parte que se introduce en la oreja y la pulsera se reventó y se me cayó, además por la parte de atrás se le ha caído la capa muy delgada de la que supuestamente es plata. Realmente me siento estafada, no puedo hacer uso de la supuesta garantía pues al ser una turista ya estoy en mi pais. Lastimosamente no puedo mostrar las fotografías que tengo de la gran estafa, pero al menos podre advertir para que otras personas no caigan en esta trampa. No quiero omitir que el Tour traía incluido almuerzo, el cual se sirvió en el mismo lugar y que al guía se le regalaron muchos tragos hasta después andar tambaleandose. Repito...
