Tres Vidas Golf Club Acapulco — Local services in Guerrero

I wanted and had to play this course, as there are many positive reviews about this 18-hole golf course.

However, I can and must absolutely contradict all the positive reviews.

The fairways are a crater landscape, it has nothing to do with a green. Zero irrigation, unkempt greens, divots not repaired and full of sand.

The absolute impudence came at the end, when I checked in (which by the way was perfectly prepared by the hotel Banyan Tree Cabo Marques) I asked if everything was paid with the green fee, clear answer yes. Then I wanted to know if I could pay for refreshments on the round with my AMEX, again a clear YES.

To my surprise, the starter told me that Cady is compulsory here and is included in the green fee. So here's to a nice 18 holes..., I thought it was cheeky to charge 170 USD for something like that.

In the end, I paid for my drinks as agreed with my credit card, gave a good tip and gave the cady my last pesos. He looked at me puzzled and told me in his non-existent English that it was too little. I explained to him in my little Spanish that I didn't have any more cash and that if I had to pay more now, I would like to pay with the AMEX card. But this was not possible. So back to check in, where I was assured that everything was settled. Discussion after discussion...
