This is a classic Mexico hike. however you must spend the night before at high elevation. There are many campsites near the trail head at 4000m elevation. serious hiking gear required. Poles a must for coming down the numerous ravelling gravel slopes. I started from Mexico City that day and could not make it past 4900m.
