I have dove so many beautiful places in the world. This place is one of my top five dives. I could not believe how beautiful this place is. For years, I had seen videos showing how beautiful this dive is. I was shocked to find out it was even more beautiful than any of those nature shows. The haloclines are awesome. You see a hazy layer where the saltwater and freshwater are mixed. If you get to a certain point, it looks like another layer of water. Every diver should see this. I loved seeing the stalagtites and stalagmites. Those were gorgeous, and were all over. There were so many epic rock formations. I loved seeing some of the fish we saw there. It was amazing. The light from the sun would shine through the water. It was surreal. We saw plants all over too. I can't wait to take my kids to dive here some day.

Dive Chac Mool a couple of days ago. I absolutely loved the dive and I was a bit nervous, it was my first Cenote dive. I get to dive cool places once a year and like to have photos to remember my trips. I was aware that I could not take pictures but was assured the photographer was going to be available. I was prepared to pay for photos of our group diving the Cenote, it’s something I may not ever do again. When we arrived, the photographer told us that he had already been down with several groups and he was not going back in the water again, so “sorry you are out of luck”. Another person in the group said to just take my own camera but I don’t want to be THAT person, so no pictures of what was by far my coolest dive so far. (picture attached is from a friend). Pictures or not, would I do it again? Absolutely!!

This is a unique diving experience. Don't pass it up. We did this dive on a day that we couldn't ocean dive because of the wind and waves. This area was unaffected by the bad weather. There are a couple of features that made this dive great. 1. It was a cave we could scuba around in. 2. There is a chamber room we could breathe in and look at the roots that had grown from the surface trees into the fresh water. 3. The water is fresh on top, and saltwater on the bottom with a hazy brackish mix you swim through. That was cool. 4. It has stalactite and stalagmite formations along with fossil layers. The list goes on and on. My wife and I really enjoyed our dives here.
