Awesome time! As another reviewer stated, rural adventure for sure. My boyfriend and I went during COVID, late November 2020, after the USA Thanksgiving, we were the only guests for the day, the VIP treatment. We paid $140 per person for 2 events - zip line and ATV, this included transportation to the location (approx. 45 min drive ea. way), bottle of water, and lunch with a drink—you know what you pay before hand. We live in New Mexico, USA and have the best Mexican food, but let me tell you, the guacamole at their local restaurant we ate at for lunch was the best I have ever had.
The guides were great for both tours, friendly, conversational, and enthusiastic. During the ATV tour we went through town, a river and the course had plenty of shaded areas, took a break half way and got a drink, went to the jalapeño fields and ate some, and had some mild off roading. As it was just the bf and I, we felt comfortable (aka me) going up to 55 kms/h, depending on your group’s skill levels, may go faster or slower. As other reviewers stated, the (quant) tequila factory next to the restaurant was awesome, great tequila - mango is the bomb—bring cash for sure (btwn tipping the guides and buying stuff at some small shops, I recommend $600-2000 pesos).
I would advise to wear long sleeves to not get sunburned or hot on the ATV, bring clothes that can get dirty and are comfortable, baseball cap (helmets go over it) and running shoes are a must. If you have teens who want to drive their own ATV (min age is 14), know their level and use good judgment but realize that they may have issues with throttle control and switching gears up and down with their left foot (note: these are automatic ATVs no clutch work). Overall your thumb/hand will definitely be sore afterwards if you don’t ride ATVs often.
Look forward to coming back with our kids for the kayaking tour and the...
Read moreDec 2024 - Our adventure started with our driver from the port! Enrique was knowledgeable and very friendly. When we got to our destination we were greeted by our guide team. They set us up in our equipment and made sure we had everything we needed before starting out. We hopped into the truck and headed up the mountain. We had a short training session and then we were off. My first time and it was exhilarating! Highly recommend this tour and these guides. Safety first, with FUN a close second. When we were done in the canopy, we were served an amazing authentic Mexican 🌯🌮lunch with a 🍺. Across the road to the Tequilaria for the BEST tequila I have ever tasted. Next across the courtyard to the silversmith and leatherman’s shop where I bought some beautiful handcrafted earrings. This family took care of us like we were family! Ziplining, ATV, and Kayaking. Fun for everyone ❤️ Thanks to everyone for the...
Read moreA ton of fun. Exhilarating. The driver on the way up shared lots of local knowledge and pointed out many interesting sights.
The zip line itself was a blast. Our safety oriented guides were knowledgeable and encouraging. They walked us through every step of the process.
After, We were served a delicious meal of local fare. Then we were invited to tour a Mezcal Distillery And offered a chance to try many different kinds of mezcal. I found their tamarind mezcal to be especially enchanting. Of course, we bought a small bottle to take back to the hotel.
If I find myself back in this area I will definitely do the zipline again and also try some of the other...
