If you don't have a car to get here: have a plan to get home before coming!! My boyfriend and I got an Uber from the pyramids in Teotihuacan to Burrolandia, but there were no Ubers or local taxis able to bring us back to Teotihuacan (or Mexico City, where we were staying). It was very stressful as we weren't sure where to go in Otumba to possibly find a taxi or bus. If you find an Uber/taxi to Burrolandia make sure they will be able to pick you back up- better yet pay them to wait around for you during the 1 hour tour. Our guide Anna was wonderful and I think once she realized we were desperate, she had a Burrolandia employee drive us back to Teotihuacan. We paid him probably four times what a taxi would have charged. Do not count on them being able to do this for you though!
Great organization and I loved being able to feed and pet the donkeys. Even though I only speak intermediate Spanish, I learned a lot and the burros are wonderful animals. Contact the WhatsApp number on Facebook to schedule an appointment in advance (I'm not sure if this is a requirement or just...
Read moreCool experience. They have close to 100 donkeys. You can buy carrots to feed the animals for an extra charge. At the end, you also have the opportunity to buy food and drinks. We got some ice pops and they gave us some free pulque. The people that work at the attraction were very kind. You are provided with a tour guide that gives you a thorough explanation of the history of the donkeys in Mexico. You walk around and they explain details of several of the animals. Great experience worth...
