Every part of this experience was wonderful. The facilities were all top notch but the staff was fantastic. When you arrive, the Mayan Shaman performs a ritual to purify you so you can enter the cenote. They then have demonstrations of how they create the obsidian statues and masks they have available to sell. Next was a demonstration of the Mayan method of making chocolate. Finally there was a presentation and tasting of tequila.

Then you're ready for the cenote (after showering). Follow the well maintained trail to the steps decending into the earth. There are a couple of landings that provide great photo opportunities. At the bottom there is a large platform with steps leading into the water. I was nervous that the water was going to be too cold but was pleasantly surprised that is was swimming pool temperature. Of course, that may vary depending on the time of year.

Overall, this was an outstanding excursion and well...

This place is nothing but a scam. There are no price signs anywhere – they first demanded 750 pesos, then suddenly “lowered” it to 600 as if they were doing us a favor. That alone screams fraud.

But it gets worse: they deliberately lied to us. They swore this was the cenote we were looking for, which was a complete fabrication. After checking the photos online, it became obvious they were trying to trick and exploit us.

On top of that, they had the nerve to say the real cenote was “very far away,” when in reality it was barely a 5-minute drive. Every part of this experience felt dishonest, manipulative, and predatory.

Do yourself a favor: do not waste your money or time here. Tulum has plenty of beautiful and honest cenotes – this disgrace of a place is definitely not one of them. It’s nothing more than a tourist trap designed to...

Visited to learn about the costumes and traditions. It was all overshadowed by the commercialization of everything in that place. Pushy salesman that overpriced every single item they sold. Even renting the life jackets (that only accept cash), food was very bland and overpriced. My fiancé grab her water while we were eating. The restaurant told us we needed to buy drinks from them, no outside drinks are not allowed.
