Kokomo Beach Club — Local services in Yucatán

Came here on Christmas day. Got one cup of coffee and the waiters would not return to take our food order! We then tried to leave and they would not let us leave until we pay for 2 cups of coffee!

They also lied to us about accepting pets...as we saw two families with pets.

Place has gone downhill very fast, will never return

The online payment system needs a LOT of work. The first time I used it, my card company flagged it as fraud. I approved the charge and it went through. The second time I use it, again a problem. Called card company and they say the transaction is being sent as BUY NOW PAY LATER and they will not process those.

I tried 2 other cards, both unable to process, I called the one bank and they have no transaction.

I called BBVA and OPEN PAY and they both say to contact the merchant. Messages and calls went unanswered during normal business hours... they finally did respond, but AFTER the time I plan to arrive.

Until their payment system is resolved, I will no longer promote or visit this club.

Excellent service very friendly staff. Lots to do.

Pricing for food and drink is comparable to progreso malecon restaurant without...

If you go to this beach club to experience nature and get away from the stress of everyday life, this is not the place for you. We went there on a Monday to avoid the weekend crowds, sadly, the music played in front of the beach chairs is so loud that you cannot even hear the sound of the waves. the constant beat of the rap like music is annoying. At times we couldn’t even hear our conversations. We requested to have the volume reduced and were told that the loudspeakers will get damaged if the volume is reduced, among other excuses, no effort whatsoever was made to even try to lower the volume. The food and drinks are acceptable although expensive. After a couple of hours we just left looking for a peaceful place, like their parking lot.

REPLY TO OWNER: Thanks so much for the attention to my review. I have updated my rating. A different music style at a lower level will be ideal. Maybe a day of the week with quieter music or no music at all so people can appreciate the beauty of nature? I notice we were not the only seniors there but am sure even younger people than us would appreciate a quiet...

This is a stunningly beautiful place with super friendly staff and great food both in the bar and in the restaurant at evenings. Rooms are superclean and beautiful. The reason I nevertheless give it only three stars is that the place has loud music from 10am to 1030 pm from loudspeakers all over the area. I came here to write and read and seeing that there was not munch else around I thought this would be just the plane I looked for. But the music took the charm away from the place for me. It is ok, but there is a limit to how many times you’d like to hear Sorry by Justin Bieber or when I was your man by Bruno Mars. They seem to have a playlist that goes on repeat. I tried to ask them to lower it but was not heard.I know many people love to be surrounded by music so I’m just writing this to say to other people who are looking for a quiet retreat in the ocean: find another place.
