High Atlas Hiking — Local services in caïdat d'Asni

Said and his team organised a 5 day tour of Morocco for us. We hiked for two days in the Atlas Mountains and spent the remaining 3 days exploring Morocco by car.

Throughout the booking process, Said was responsive, informative and accommodating. We were able to tell Said what activities we wanted to do and he made an itinerary that suited our tastes.

Throughout the entire tour we received nothing but top-quality hospitality from the High Atlas Hiking team and staff of the various camps and guesthouses where we stayed. During the hike, our luggage was transported by mule and lunch was cooked for us in breathtaking locations. We were led by a local guide who told us many interesting facts about the local area and culture. During the rest of the tour, we were driven safely with plenty of opportunities to stop for food, drinks, and photos! Each guesthouse we stayed at was chosen with care to create the best experience we could have wished for.

We knew that we wanted (female 28 & female 60) to take a multi-day trek through the valleys and villages in the Atlas Mountains, but we didn't really know how to go about setting it up. After not having luck booking such a tour in Marrakesh, we went back to our original idea of booking through High Atlas Hiking and it was definitely the better decision. Said answered our E-Mails very fast and detailed and created a private tour for us within just a day! Mohammed was a wonderful guide. He was very open about sharing his culture with us as well as being able to spontaneously change the trek for us based on our fitness and environmental factors. Hassan, our cook, was absolutely amazing. We have no idea how he managed to make delicious three course meals on top of a mountain, but we were always very full and the food was fresh. We made today a hiking daytrip around Imlil with transport from and to Marrakech. It was a great trip an hike. The driver, who picked us up and brought us back was very kind, perfectly in time and we enjoyed the ride with him. In Imlil was our tour guide Hossain already waiting for us. He was also very kind and made a great hike (3-4h walking time) with a lot of spectacular views around Imlil with us. It was a great experience through the tranquility and stunning scenery in the high Atlas. We also hat a delicious lunch with plenty of food an a great hospitality at his house.
