The owner of this camp did not provide us with the accommodation that our tour operator sold us and that we paid for. We paid for the luxury camp. The camp we were sent to was an inferior camp. The owner told us he was giving us the best luxury camp which was completely false. He claimed he sent another group from Hong Kong to the other camp that he referred to as not as nice, as they were loud. We showed our tour operator/driver pictures of the camp we were sent to and it was confirmed that we did not receive what was advertised and paid for. Our tour operator has obtained a refund. There were only 3 other couples and yet the owner claimed to be so busy. ??? The other part of this horrible experience was our camel ride to the camp. We already knew it would take about 35 minutes riding, maybe an hour allowing for pictures. We rode for 90 minutes due to a major sand storm just as we were departing. They saw it coming and still put us at risk. It was awful. Sand in our eyes, ears & nostrils, hanging on for dear life. After about an hour, we finally saw four others, one who told us he had fallen off his camel. Be very careful if you choose this camp. Buyer beware! Check the photos on the site. Friends of ours had been a year ago so we knew immediately that the owner did not provide us with the accommodation we had paid for. Nor did he care...
Read moreThe services and the rooms were top notch. We rode camels through the sand dunes to reach the camp and I'm not sure if that is set up through the Sahara Stars Camp or through the Marrakech Tour Company that planned our whole trip but it really added to the mystique. We arrived at the camp and were shown to our rooms. Afterwards, we had dinner in the main tent. The food was very good. The service was great, and the staff had no problem speaking with the French, English and Japanese guests that we saw in the camp that evening. After dinner, they played traditional music outside and we danced around a fire pit under the stars. Once it was later, my wife and kids stayed outside to watch the stars and we have never seen so many stars. It was a really wonderful evening. Just for information, there are no standard outlets in your rooms, so if you need to charge anything, they do have usb-a(standard big USB) outlets...
Read moreWe stayed one night in the desert camp and we felt cocooned all the time by the incredible staff. The location is perfect and the surroundings are super quiet. You will enjoy delicious food and good company under stars while singing and playing drums with the Amazigh. We enjoyed some sand boarding as well before dinner time and of course Moroccan tea watching the dunes. The room is comfortable, very big bed, hot water and electricity. All you need for a perfect glamping experience. Highly recommend. This camp site was booked for us by Hassan from Marrakech Tour Company, who took care of all the riads and glamping during our stay as well as transportation for our 5 days trip in Morocco. I highly recommend Hassan, he know very well the region and desert, he will take you to the best spots and take nice pictures! He never...
