Bush Beach Backpackers — Local services in Inhambane Province

I give 3 stars for the effort but sadly this isn’t a place to relax. There is a nice bar but the music is extremely loud, impossible to even talk to the staff or just chill and this is the only hangout area. And then around 9.30pm I wanted to go to my tent to relax but the owner and his friend and son also played their own music and talked loud until late. The night in my tent was also noisy with cats and people talking from 4am and workers being around from like 5.30am. The place also had no holiday vibe, maybe only in the beach front rooms, otherwise it felt like invading someone’s property when you were at the back. My friend stayed in the dorm and she said the beds were extremely uncomfortable. What we disliked the most was that when we told the receptionist guy that we decided to leave he became quite unfriendly. There are also no lockers. It’s a shame as the place would have potential with a change of vibe and by creating a relaxing...

I had a wonderful stay at Bush Beach and will definitely miss waking up with sunrise and crystal-blue sea view. The location is perfect, right on the beach and walking distance to town. The owner is a local, which makes a big difference, he knows the area well and helped me with Bazaruto island tour and places to explore.

They have both shared rooms and private beachfront cabins, making it a great choice for solo travelers, couples or families.

Clean rooms, WiFi and amazing value for money!...

DON’T BOOK HERE!! I booked via Hostelworld while there were no rooms available anymore (although hostelworld keeps showing them). The owner cancelled the booking via email but not via Hostelworld, and if you cancel yourself, you will lose your deposit. So 50 euro gone to waste thanks to the owner. Communication is very bad, owner does not reply...
