Pretty good Chinese restaurant and duty free store. Do note that it doesn't matter at which one of the two restaurants you choose to dine at. The menu is the same. You can choose to have a steak inside the Chinese restaurant and Chinese or Thai food outside. The salmon steak is HUGE (much too big) and best shared among two diners. Veggies are a bit bland and even the steak itself is not well seasoned, but it's good enough. Just don't expect either Las Vegas style ambience or food quality.
The beer at the micro brewery is great. Doesn't seem like there are any restrictions on alcohol trading hours, unlike in Thailand. However, the brewery opens only mid-afternoon, though it does stay open until an unbelievable 3am! edit as of late August 2019, now closes at 11.30pm. BUT the restaurant still remains open all night!
Baht is the main currency here, but the on-site ATM only dispenses Kyat. As I understand it, gambling is conducted only in Baht (although there is a money changer inside the casino), while the restaurant can accept either currency. edit you may be asked to exchange Kyat for Baht inside the casino to pay for your meal, so better bring Baht. The duty free shop prefers Baht (although credit cards, which will be charged in Kyat are accepted for larger purchases). The casino exchange rate is poorer than in town.
No idea about the on-site hotel except that it's a little overpriced (2000 Baht per night), but I'd strongly advise you are legally in Myanmar on a visa or e-visa before staying there, ditto if you're Thai (border pass or visa). However, it's not really very practically located. Makes sense to stay here only if you have a car with driver to pick you up and if you want to dine/gamble late into the evening. If you're heading to Hpa-an or Mawlamyine, you'd be better off staying somewhere in town or along the highway.
Boat service across the river is available for free, but only semi-legal. Is probably a better idea to cross the bridge then travel here by car. Also, during the rainy season the river level is very high and you could get swept away. This doesn't seem to deter desperate Thai gamblers but I suspect at some point, like happened at the Cambodian border this backdoor entry into Myanmar will be closed down to prevent smuggling and people...
