Amazing views of the desert, with easy accessibility to the national park. Really friendly, and helpful staff. Beautiful rooms, and good facilities. Incredible stargazing sight, and exceptional sunsets guaranteed. Special shoutout to Eileen at the bar who was an amazing bartender for the nights we stayed there.

Prices for food at the restaurant can be quite expensive if you are local/SADC so bring your own food... but they are considered fair prices for foreigners.

For the self catering options, you can get a box of utensils at a small deposit, and use those to cook your own food which works out quite well if you have brought your own groceries. They even have firewood/coal etc if you want to braai [barbeque], with options to order marinated/unmarinated meat and side salads/veggies from the place at a cost if you prefer that.

Only issue staying here was that the water often got cold after the first person showered. Even with some time between the 1st and 2nd person showering, the hot water would either be finished or just remain lukewarm which is unfortunately not great when you're on holiday, especially after a visit to the dunes wanting to wash the sand off. But other than the hot water, no...

I had a very pleasant stay here. I was given the first/last cabin at the end of the road so I had an uninterrupted view of the surrounding landscape, with nice views of the sunset and sunrise. Outside my cabin there is a tree with 2 huge nests built by sociable weaver birds and occasionally a gemsbok rests under the shadow of the tree. It's amazing to see wildlife right outside my cabin, in such a dry and barren region. At night, I could see many stars in the sky right outside the cabin. My cabin is spacious and comfortable with air-conditioning, ensuite bathroom, potable tap water, twin beds, sofa and outdoor barbeque pit. To avoid bringing sand into the cabin, I left my shoes outside the door, and kept the door closed at all times. There's no WiFi in my cabin so I had to drive to the reception/bar area to use WiFi. The Sesriem park gate and petrol station is just a 5...

Great place to stay and close to entrance for Sossusvlei. Rooms were lovely and comfortable with outside kitchen area and table. We stopped 2 nights and the first evening we had dinner at the nearby Sossusvlei Lodge. Dinner was just ok as nearly all the tables are outside and it was still a bit cold in the evening and it's buffet style . I would recommend you use your own BBQ/Braai outside your room and pre-order your food from Desert Camp reception. We ordered pork chops and jacket potatoes to cook, and pre-made salads and pasta. Much better value for money and better quality. Really enjoyed cooking while watching the stars and getting visits from desert foxes. Overall great stay.
