Undoubtedly Gokyo Ri is a joy for all trekkers for the fantastic views of Mt Everest and the great Himalayan ranges. I started from Gokyo at dawn and got the best views from Gokyo Ri, on a clear picture perfect morning.

In addition to four of the highest mountains - namely Everest (8,850m) Lhotse (8,501m) Makalu (8,475m) and Cho Oyu (8,153m), there are many other mountains like Gyachung khang, Kangchung, Hungcchi, Lunag Ri, Tobuche & Cholatse and Kantega & Tamserku which are visible from Gokyo Ri.
