Beach Pavillion Noorderlicht — Local services in Bergen

UPDATE 2022: the prices have become outrageous and the standard of the place remains the same: nice, a bit laid back, beach style, simple benches and tables, made from pallets and cable drums. 2 x limonades for 9,00 (Fritz limonade: supermarket price 1,20 a bottle) and 2 x french fries for 11,00 Euros. The chips were just standard quality and small portions.

Nice standrad dutch beach place on a good spot. Nice choice off snacks and drinks. AND the prices are absolutely out of proportion, too high for what you get. Take time: you have to wait long for simple drinks for food...

Really enjoyed my experience at Noorderlicht. Such a refreshingly different menu with Israeli influence. We enjoyed the local beers from the menu. The pulled chicken and pulled lamb meals were delicious with unexpected flavour combinations. Even the kaastengels were above average and came with a tasty sauce. The interior was very homey and cute. I can imagine that the outside would be lovely to sit at all afternoon on a summers day. I can’t wait to come back and try something else...

In a hot day of summer we discovered a beautiful restaurant with indoor tables and terrace in the sun facing the seaside . We ordered an affogato and a cappuccino. The food never arrived in time. We were in a hurry , we went to pick it up from the kitchen and asked to prepare our order for take out. (A burger, delicious Hummus and a Greek salad.) must visit and enjoy the good food and the sea...
