It's a nice bridge. It was open when we arrived there. Took a few minutes to open and close and this caused a bit of traffic jam. You can turn off your engine as it takes a while to get going. Overall a good bridge, maybe it can be expanded as there's too...

De Merwedebrug, of de Brug over de Boven-Merwede is een dubbele boogbrug in Nederland, gelegen in de autosnelweg A27 bij Gorinchem. De brug overspant de rivier de Merwede, een verlengstuk van de Waal. De brug is circa 810 meter lang.

Persoonlijk vind ik het een knap staaltje vakmanschap, dat al heel wat jaartjes meegaat. Daarnaast is de brug zeer windvast en goed bestand tegen het zware verkeer. De rechter rijstrook is prima en bij uitstek geschikt voor vrachtverkeer, de linker daarentegen is wat smaller, maar wie durft die wint... Gelukkig wordt er nu onderhoud gepleegd aan...
