Gegraven en vergraven benedenloop van de Buurserbeek. Deze laatste beek was oorspronkelijk de bovenloop van de Regge. In de Middeleeuwen gebruikte de stad Deventer het water van de Buurserbeek voor de Schipbeek om zo een goede verbinding te krijgen met het Duitse achterland in het belang van de handel met Westfalen. De Schipbeek krijgt een steeds natuurlijker uitstraling, maar komt voor een groot deel in de benedenloop over als een kanaal. De beek komt uiteindelijk uit in de IJssel net ten zuiden...
