Subway Pool Cafe — Local services in Rotterdam

Listen this was actually so much more fun than I thought. It doesn't look like much from the outside but they had a huge amount of pooltables and also foosball, air hockey, that boxing game where you punch very hard lol. It's the closest thing to an arcade you're gonna get this side of the river. It's definitely a little old/scuffed/seedy-feeling but like, in a good way. It's an old fashioned place, which is nice, but it smells like smoke and the air is quite dense. There are a lot of pool tables, buy they all differ from quality. Furthermore, it is advertised that they have snookertables, but this couldn't be further from the truth. They didn't have it and to play pool, you have to buy a drink or food. I would recommend going to a different cafe to play...

Een poolcentrum zou moeten draaien om het poolen. Dat betekent dat je pooltoernoeien moet organiseren, de tafels goed moet onderhouden en een echte vaste pool community (klantenkring) moet opbouwen en teams moet oprichten die ook regionaal en zelfs landelijk competitie spelen. In de avonden en de weekenden 's avonds focussen op de plezier klanten die ff een avondje uit willen. Subway heeft echt enorm veel ruimte waar zeker meer dan 20 tafels in passen. Als het allemaal weer om het poolen gaat draaien (in plaats van shisha's, rappers, eten en andere randzaken) dan gaat je omzet stijgen door het plafond heen. In Rotterdam-Zuid heb je weinig concurrentie. Alleen Atoll is er en daar is het altijd vol en erg duur. Wat mij betreft is dit een gemiste kans voor Subway. Jullie hebben met zo een locatie gewoon de kans om misschien wel het grootste en beste poolcentrum van Rotterdam te kunnen worden, zeker nu Thurston al jaren gesloten is.
