Pizza Club Papatoetoe — Local services in Ōtara-Papatoetoe

Caution! Regardless of whether the owner intends to respond to my review in a positive or negative manner, avoid this place at all costs. The owner was given a chance on multiple occasions to rectify the wrong doings of the store both via phone call, Facebook messenger and in store. This post is the final straw for me, do not go here at all.

I used to be a fan of Pizza Club and I was ecstatic once a branch opened up in Papatoetoe. Prior to the branch opening, my family and I would travel to Pakuranga to order because we enjoyed their pizzas so much that it was well worth the commute. The range was decent, and the flavours were quite unique in comparison to the bigger pizza chains eg. Dominos Pizza and Pizza Hut. Unfortunately, the hype has certainly died because the quality has certainly decreased at the Papatoetoe store. I understand the prices of the pizzas have increased, and for good reason given the state of the economy and the impacts of COVID 19 on supply chains, however that should not hamper the quality of your pizza's that Pizza Club is originally known for.

I will not be returning, and nor will my family and friends - and hopefully whoever is reading this post decides to go elsewhere. Masks are not worn in the store, and neither are gloves. This is very unhygienic. I could see staff members moving from the front end of the store to make pizzas, and answering phones both in store and on their personal cell phones. A lovely place for germs to breed and for cross contamination to occur. Mmmmm. delicious! The pizzas are not prepared with care and attention. I am concerned about the ingredients, and their use by dates of their meat and vegetables. It is very easy to tell what a good quality pizza looks like, tastes like and smells like! The ingredients used are clearly questionable.

The Papatoetoe store is reluctant to accept responsibility for their poor customer service and food. I have taken photos of my food and have also laid a complaint with the Ministry of Primary Industries. It is clear by reading the other reviews on here that there is a pattern in their service and quality of their food now.

Not only do the the staff members need to be re-trained in customer service in the hospitality sector, but also in the areas of food and safety etiquette in New Zealand because it is quite clear you are in breach of many health and safety standards. Unfortunately you will learn the hard...

X absolutely LOVE the tandoori bites and the chicken wings are my fav too 🤤 The staff is very professional and absolutely lovely even when it gets very busy in the store. They're prompt with their orders and never fail to deliver! Still my fav pizza place ever! Would Highly recommend the original taste like no other ! :) Regardless people coenting diplomatic reviews about their taste and quality, should see their hardwork and how they maintained their quality beyond price changing for the supplies and I guess they are excellent handling compliants, My pizza once got late but I still waited on my order and was ensured by owner that due to being busy my order can be bit late. I got No problem but waited on my pizza calmly and when i got it was excellent made. The best thing is about pizza club papatoe staff is they keep you updated for your order every minute which shows excellent attitude towards service and customers. Ordered online and paid the $10 for delivery, was advised that my pizza would arrive within 1 hour which was fine as it was a friday night during lockdown. 1 hour and 20 mins later still no pizza so I decided to call them, when they picked up i gave them my name, they told me they had received no order in that name even though I had a confirmation email. I gave them my order number and it turns out they missed my order and told me it would be another 15 minutes waiting time, no apology. I asked to speak to the manager he said he would give us free garlic bread.. when the order did eventually come there was no garlic bread and the sour cream was missing from my kumara fries.
