My wife and her friend recently had the pleasure of visiting the Arapawa Blue Pearl farm, and it was an experience they won't soon forget. From the outset, Jacob played a pivotal role in making their visit memorable. His assistance in getting them from the mooring was seamless, and his knowledge about the Paua breeding process was both informative and engaging. The hospitality extended by Mike and Antonia truly set this experience apart. Their warm and accommodating nature made them feel right at home. The morning tea provided was delightful, adding a lovely touch to their overall experience. A special mention must go to the Paua prepared by Mike. My wife typically doesn’t favor Paua, but was pleasantly surprised by the dish. It was not only enjoyable but hands down the best Paua she has ever tasted. This culinary experience alone was a highlight and a testament to the quality and expertise at the farm. We wholeheartedly recommend the Arapawa Blue Pearl farm to anyone in the area. Whether you're a Paua aficionado or just curious about local aquaculture, this farm offers an insightful, enjoyable, and delicious experience. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the Pearl of the Marlborough Sounds!

A wonderful experience in the cultivation and crafting of abalone for blue pearls. The entire process of growing harvesting and breeding to support their business is extremely interesting. Well worth the half hour boat ride to get there from Picton. We were greeted with fresh baked snacks by a very friendly staff. The owners were so cordial and outgoing made for a wonderful experience. Highly recommend this very educational and entertaining tour. And if you'd like to see some quality custom jewelry crafted from their product that's where you want to buy it! On the way back to our boat they also entertained us by pointing out the finned eels that swim up the streams from the ocean to the waters way above their property.

Amazing Arapawa! We visited Arapawa from the UK via a cruise stop at Picton and met the lovely Antonia & Mike at their pearl farm. After a fascinating tour Antonia presented my wife with 2 pieces of jewellery that I had secretly been planning before our trip! They were the Athena ring & Starfish necklace, both with stunning blue pearls and both set in white gold. The craftsmanship is second-to-none. The pieces are truly beautiful & to own such exotic and rare jewellery feels very special. They are also fantastic talking points as this visit was one of the highlights of our whole trip!

We stumbled upon Arapawa Blue Pearl while web-browsing for special jewelry a while ago, and it instantly became a bucket list item for us. Naturally, when we planned our trip to New Zealand more than a year ago, a stay at the farm had to be put on the schedule! We expected the bewitching natural and rugged beauty of the place (even more so than the website pictures; it takes your breath away!), but what took us aback was the warm, genuine welcome from Antonia, Mike, and all their immediate and extended family. We now understand why many return for longer stays over the years. We really enjoyed first-hand learning about the Paua farming and the abalone pearl making, but the lesson that escaped us is how, after many years, the Radons can still put so much passion in what they do, and somewhat find the generosity to share it with their guests, time and time again. We truly feel grateful to have met you guys, and we will remember our stay in your slice of paradise each and every time we admire the stunning beauty of the pearls and jewelry we carefully selected....

While cruising around New Zealand in Dec 2024, we had an opportunity to tour the Arapawa Blue Pearl Farm. With only a few days to prepare, I contacted Antonia to see if we could purchase a blue pearl ring. My husband of 37 years and I had been looking for an eternity-style ring all throughout our voyage, and this seemed the perfect opportunity.

Antonia got back to us right away, we video-chatted, and then decided to size an Athena ring. Antonia offered two rings, leaving it up to me to choose. When we got there, I saw that both choices were beautiful! I first liked the one with the black conchiolin lines, but when I took both out into the sunshine, the other pearl glowed with vibrant blues and greens. That’s the one that spoke to me.

In keeping with New Zealand's mystique, my husband and I chose to name this our Evermore ring. “The One Ring to Bind Us Evermore!”

Thank you so much to Antonia and her team who made this visit to their paradise at the ends of (middle) earth...
