Roses Are Red Auckland Florist — Local services in Franklin

I was very disappointed and upset with the arrangement Roses are Red sent to my friend. It really did not look like a $99 bouquet. I understand identical flowers to those illustrated on the website can't always be used but I did not feel that what was sent(photo 1) was comparable at all to what I believed I was purchasing from the website(photo 2). This bouquet was supposed to be a special surprise for my friend celebrating a special event that I couldn't attend. I just feel upset and embarrassed at what she received. When I raised my concerns with Roses are Red, they seemed more focussed on the flowers lasting 7 days than on how they looked, value for money, and how I felt as the customer, instead they insisted on justifying and defending themselves rather than showing any level of understanding for my disappointment and why that was. They said that they could not replicate the bouquet on the website as the flowers were not in season(Hydrangeas and Sunflowers) then when I challenged this with evidence that they were in season, they made excuses as to why they would not use them. Easy to use website, chose the “Bright Days” Awesome flowers size and bright color scheme. Flowers were delivered on the day requested and were in excellent condition. My friend loved it and was raving about them so happy with the quality, service and delivery. Although the Bright Days picture shows Pink bright and pastel flowers and that is what I was expecting. “Pink” roses so just a little disappointed that red was sent instead because I could have just chosen the Red Roses option if I wanted red roses to be delivered. Upon querying, the florist informed me that I did not specifically request for pink roses so what was available and the best was sent instead - I think this is quite misleading as the website did not ask me to chose my color or mention that a different colored rose would be sent instead. But I didn’t want to ruin anyone’s day so I left that as is but when choosing and purchasing flowers, I am particular about the flowers being delivered as per the picture because that is what we can see and have chosen.
