South City Mall — Local services in Invercargill City

Ok. It's trying really hard to reinvent itself, but it really needs to get the patrons to do their bit and frequent it, but then again they will say they need more reasons TO frequent it, and that's a little how it feels I guess, like it's six of one, and half a dozen of the other as far as making this place popular with everybody. There's a couple of good cafés, but they seem a little on the pricey side and there's some good specialty/novelty shops. I suggest you give it a go and visit and make your own mind up. It's very small, more like an arcade than a mall, so it won't take you long to do it, and you might find something that tickles ya fancy. Be sure to scope along the shops at the front of the mall, like the new Gelato place etc. That is divine. And of course, the mall IS at least right in the hub of South City, so it is central to all the other amenities around it which makes it a very good place to meet with friends etc. and then decide where you want to head off to from...

It's a small mall situated on both sides of the road. It has a bar, a small supermarket, two banks, a video shop and some smaller specialised shops as well as a large laundry and a good variety of fast food shops. Something for everyone and quite a busy hub in the South City. Well set out with lots of parking. Michelle the lovely hairdresser has made another great job of my hair. Went into postshop to pay phone, power and paper bills and they don't take cheques!!!??? Why not. So bills not paid.
