First I just want to point out that the reviewer Sue Latham who said that there were dead animals on the paddock and the place was "a mess" actually wasn't on the property of French's Farm - she was on the property two doors over. French's Farm doesn't have dead animals. I know because I go there almost weekly to get my food. So ignore her post, because it's not factual.

So now... let me tell you about the real French's Farm....

French's Farm is run by a wonderful family - a mum & dad team - Robyn and Mike - who are in their golden years, and their daughter Kat, who is a bubbly, enthusiastic, lovely woman. They also have Kat's daughter working there occasionally, as well as a team of dedicated islanders who help them build structures and growing areas.

The farm is a little in disarray because in 2022, the farm was hit by a tornado which destroyed alot of their shade houses. Luckily the community pulled together and through a GiveALittle page they were able to raise funds. But between the labour shortage caused by the pandemic, the tornado, and then the unprecedented flooding of summer 2023 which flooded Te Puke and their farm several times, French's Farm is slowly getting back on it's feet. I mention this because the nasty review left by Sue Lathan here on Google was totally unwarranted - she doesn't know Kat and her family and how lovely and hard working they are.

The farm is SPRAY FREE and it all tastes fantastic. Some of the best food I've ever eaten, and at a great price (alot cheaper, better quality, and better tasting than the supermarkets!)

I bring my 4 year old here occasionally and he loves to look at the cute lambs or the ducks and chickens. The family is warm and welcoming, and they are really knowledgeable about their crops. They always greet me and my son with a smile and love talking about the new crops they are growing.

The BEST thing about French's Farm is that they have a tropical hot house, so they grow their own pineapples, papayas, mangoes, and even jackfruit.

They have really well priced eggs and even duck eggs, too!

They are so dedicated that about once a week, Robyn and Mike will drive down to their orchards in Hawkes Bay and pick up truck loads of their incredible tasting citrus - oranges, mandarins, lemons, limes, grapefruit, lemonades. Their citrus is spray free and absolutely incredible tasting.

If you want a change from the overpriced and poor quality supermarket produce, definitely give French's Farm a try. They are truly salt of the earth, lovely people who love growing food and feeding families in the Bay. And you'll be supporting LOCAL, spray...
