I had such a lovely time at Lavender Backyard Garden. The place is absolutely awesome 🌿. You can smell the lavender all the way from the carpark and down the street πŸš—

They do require people to make a booking πŸ“– but only so that they can manage the numbers under the current traffic light 🚦Since it wasn't too busy, I was able to slip in, but others might be disappointed when they get here. It costs $6 to enter, which goes towards maintenance, and which I don't think is too expensive for the experience πŸ€‘

It's not very big, but it is big enough to have a fabulous time 😘 There are benches, so you can have a lovely picnic, or buy some coffee from the caravan and enjoy the sweet smells while sipping some delicious coffee β˜•

They have a great little shop that sells all sorts of lavender products that is made on site πŸ› I wanted to buy everything! The ladies are very friendly and helpful πŸ˜‰

Bonus: There is also a huge blueberry orchard, and you can go blueberry picking 🌳🌳 How fantastic is that?! They also sell yummy blueberry ice cream, with a hint...

Great gift shop, perfect for Christmas gifts, they wrapped them up so nicely. Or for just people who love lavender, like me. Will come back for some pillow mist, as its like 100x stronger than the stuff I get from chemist warehouse to help baby girl get into sleepy mode.

It's a real shame they want to charge 10$pp just to walk through, without picking or touching. Just doesn't seem worth it with multiple adults. I think they would get much more foot traffic, and then more gift shop purchases, if they lowered the rate - (we decided not to walk through) - to $5, or a gold coin, and save the charge for actual picking, if you give people the chance to enjoy the lovely experience of walking through the gardens they will much more so want to support the store, and buy a momento. We'll come back for just a mum and baby trip, but not good value for a family activity if you want to buy gift store things too. I think they are surviving on tourists going, but would get much more business from locals if it were a good family day activity, and...

Entrance fee to the farm is 10 dollars and you can book ahead on their website. This lavender farm is right next to the highway so you might capture cars and line post in your background when your are taking photos. The farm is small and few parking slots available. They charge 10 dollars for lavender picking. They also have blueberry picking inside the farm, pick all the berries you want and they will charge by the weight but you can eat as many as you like while picking without charge. They have a small gift shop with lots of lavender items. They sell blueberry & strawberry ice cream which you can choose between a vanilla or frozen yogurt base. There is no cafe in the area so you need to eat before going there or find a place in cambridge or hamilton to eat...
