Great coastal walk to Plimmerton. Lots of bird life and great scenery. Avoid on a strong westerly day. Take good shoes as there are lots of rocky patches along the beach. There’s a few good rock climbing spots along the way and plenty of photo opportunities. I’ve done this four times and rarely see more than 3 or 4 other groups after the first kilometre or so. Make sure to take water and sunblock. No toilets after the car park at...

Have never been there before till I went for a drive have lived and passed this area all my life and 50 years I decided to go have a nosey and found that it is a beautiful little place for the whole family beach ⛱️ picnics with the kids walking along the beach front and safe for the little ones to swim even take your dogs with you on a long walk. Didn't do the walk but that is on my go to list when I have my...

It's the start point of Wairaka Walkway. Wild, windy and lonely place to walk. Gravel and rocks on the track along the tasman sea. It finishes plimmerton Hongoeka Marae at the Plimmerton Road. About 10 km but it harder as track is rocks and gravel. Prepare sunscreen, water, snacks. Go in a group...

Great coastal walk to Plimmerton. Lots of bird life and great scenery. Avoid on a strong westerly day. Take good shoes as there are lots of rocky patches along the beach.
