Jacob recently undertook landscaping work at our lifestyle property in rural Upper Hutt. What I originally hoped to do proved impossible due to immovable features such as septic tanks and industrial-strength concrete structures! But Jacob could quickly see alternatives and in a very short space of time, we had a new plan.

The work involved moving changing parts of an existing garden and moving 15 mature trees, most of which have survived the move. He also laid a new lawn. Due to Jacob's experience and knowledge, he was spot-on with his estimate of time and costs so we were given a realistic plan. In fact, the final invoices always came in slightly under what he had estimated.

We are happy with our new garden layout, are enjoying the transformation that has allowed us to use our space in a way that suits our lifestyle. I would certainly recommend Jacob for large-scale work, and for anyone who wants to rely on the expertise and knowledge of a highly experienced landscaper and plantsman.

We recently built a house in Korokoro - in a high wind zone. We couldn’t have found anyone better to help us out with landscaping the garden. Jacob listened to our ideas and worked with the shape of the land to create a fabulous space. He used all the earth we had so we didn’t incur removal fees and has planted plants that will grow to give us colour and create wind baffles meaning we will eventually be able to plant my dream of an English country garden. Jacob designed two areas for us: one a barren and windswept area and the other a problematic steep terraced area. He transformed both into fantastic and usable spaces. Our exposed front garden now looks great in all conditions and benefits from wind resistant plants. The steep terraces have been amalgamated to form one flat area. Jacob has a great ability to visualise, despite existing problem areas and ugly existing structures, and he uses his vision to transform the spaces with wonderful designs and plantings.
