What do you expect visiting an extinct volcano, tiki bar and lava flows? Its cool dirt, does hills and stuff. Dont hate, appreciate. Wouldnt come out here looking for molten rock explosions. Might find igneous rocks and stuff but maybe not tho. Has some bugs and sometimes farm animals. Go drive...

Lived on the Otago Peninsula for 20 years. I presume this so called volcano refers to harbour cone. It was part of a much larger volcano millions of years ago but no way is it a volcano. The land now belongs to Dunedin City Council but is farmed so access can be restricted...
