You must try this glamping place—it’s a hidden gem! If you want to take your family camping but don’t want to set up tents, this is the perfect option. It’s also a great spot for a quiet getaway around Auckland.
You can tell that the owner has taken great care of the place and has put a lot of thought into providing customers with an excellent experience. We booked two domes, both of which were very cozy and beautifully designed with different themes: one had a European feel, while the other was styled in a Bohemian looks. Both domes were well-equipped with air conditioning and a mini indoor theater for us to watch Netflix. Some of us chose not to watch a movie, so we asked the owners to set up a bonfire. We relaxed outside, chatting with friends, enjoying our snack platter and wine, while gazing at the stars!
Oh, and the showers...man! Each doom had it's own private shower and bathroom, and we didn’t expect the water pressure to be so fantastic, especially at a glamping site. We must have each showered for over 20 minutes, just enjoying the experience without any interruptions since everyone else was busy with other activities, haha.
For our stay, we opted for the simple breakfast add-on, which included fresh local ingredients to prepare our own big breakfast. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our food, and we enjoyed our coffee and tea on the porch while taking in the view. Of course, and took lots of photos at this beautiful place before we leave too.
Once we finished breakfast and checked out, we explored a few nearby places. We visited Hunua Falls, which was only a 20-minute trip away, and also the Lavender Farm!
Overall, it was definitely a five-star getaway experience. We highly recommend it and will certainly return...
Read moreStellar Glamping absolutely surpassed expectations! The domes were so well designed with many thoughtful touches. I was grateful to have found somewhere that would allow a one night stay which was the ultimate deciding factor when I booked - as well as value for money. We had six of us girls stay across two domes for my baby shower and it was a very special getaway indeed. We are South Auckland locals so the Red Hill location was fantastic as we didn't have to battle too much long weekend traffic. I was pleasantly surprised to find alpacas grazing around the domes and to find projectors and screens in the domes. The host was very responsive over email as I had many questions over the weeks leading up to my big day. Really appreciate their hospitality - and quick responses, even coming down in the dark to help relight our fire when we were out of fire starters. We did find the floor mattresses a little too firm, which would be easily solved with a soft mattress topper, and we did saturate the two small tea towels fairly quickly, what with six people's worth of dishes. We would have loved to have had hot chocolate as drink option - and more English Breakfast tea than was left in the tin at the time. We definitely would have made use of some gladwrap to put over our leftovers in the fridge had their been any HOWEVER otherwise we only have glowing things to say! Majority of their group plan to return with their spouses/families, and we will be recommending this site to many of our...
