Woodhill area is one of Aucklands more well known MTB trails. (There is a entry fee). Sandy soils allow the trails to drain wet weather making this usable all year round, in fact it is better after a shower. Despite the hundreds who use the trails every week the trails are in fair mint condition. So big thumbs up to the trail pixies. Trails are mostly XC but there are a few good descents. Ie. One Night Stand, Handle the Jandle and an awesome long flowy decent from Off the Grid in the black trails. Has all the usual facilities you'd expect at a bike park, including a great...

The largest and best MTB park in the Auckland region. Caters for all mountain bike riders, so long as you are confident actually riding a bike! Not suitable for small children, but okay for 9-10 year olds upwards. Bike and equipment hire, shop, workshop all on site. Coffee and pies at weekends. Car park busy at weekends, but once you're on the trails you hardly see anyone. Trail signposting has improved, but still could be better. They need to develop a mapping app so you can see where you are on the trails. The terrain has a sandy base so don't let wet weather...

Best mountain biking trails in auckland. Sand based so great all year round. Great mix of trails from beginner to advanced. Hire bikes are available and they also have a pro shop and mechanic. Heaps of trails and suggested routes are well sign posted. Even though the carpark is often busy at the weekend once you are out on the trails you don't often come across too many people. The trails are well maintained and a mix of technical and easy riding. Kids are catered for with some beginner trails close to...

The extensive area now known as Woodhill Forest is an important part of the cultural landscape of Ngāti Whātua o Kaipara. Many ancestral names (like Te Kēti, Kuwakatai, Waionui, Korekore and Ōkiritoto) were used for different areas and features, but the land became generally known as Woodhill when it passed into Crown ownership to be developed as forest. Today, the land under the forest is privately owned and managed by Ngā Maunga Whakahii o Kaipara after a 2013 Treaty of Waitangi settlement.

What an awesome place . take the motorway from the city and head out, follow the gravel roads and you end up in a carpark with a 4x4track heading down to the beach. the sand is soft so high 4wheeldrives can ho down to the beach. Its off the beaten track, great surf when the swell is small. No toilets available.. love it

Single track built by mountain bikers for mountain bikers. All in all, its a cool little place for fun times. It will get a bit repetitive by the end of summer, but new tracks pop up all the time. Perfectly rideable and sheltered in wet weather.
