Christchurch Christmas Lightshow — Local services in South Island

It's pleasure to go there and see Christmas lighting. It was first time for me to see this type of lighting. It was amazing experience. Eye-catching decoratios based on different themes of Christmas. We visited so many private lighting houses. But this 650 Shands Road was the biggest one and beautiful too. It was looking so professional. I salute to owner efforts. They charge 5 nzd which is nothing for this type of lighting. I liked the ghost band 😂. It was unique. But it's 15 km to christchurch city centre in West on timaru Road. Its opened till mid night. I visited this place years ago and decided to give it another try after seeing the recent advertising, which looked promising. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. Spending $15 to see lights that weren’t even mostly Christmas-themed felt underwhelming—they could have been displayed at any time of the year. To make matters worse, the music was completely out of place; Metallica was playing loudly, which didn’t create any kind of festive or seasonal atmosphere. It felt so disconnected from what I expected. I hope more honest reviews help others set their expectations...

Very well laid out, so much bigger than previous years, lovely to see kids smiling and enjoying all the displays....

Anyone complaining about the entry fee I dare you to do a display that is more affordable than this, open up your property for thousands of people to walk through it, running and maintaing all the displays, storage of the displays throughout the year....

The price for entry is very good in my opinion and it's far better value than a bucket of chicken....
