After living and working on the NZ road this last year, I really felt I needed some time to slow everything down, recalibrate and ground myself. Mt spirit was the perfect place to do this. To set my own timetable and essentially my own retreat. I came for 5 days and turned my phone off from get go and was able to fill my days with yoga, meditation, journalling, outside bathing, cooking delicious meals, drawing, walking in nature, and just be with myself. As well as getting cuddles from Daisy (the cutest lamb ever), I was able to attend a heart warming yin yoga class with Amanda in the super cool yurt, had super interesting talks with all the family and my week ended with the most amazing out of this world experience of the sweat lodge. (you must do!) I left feeling refreshed and able to put in place my new healthy routine that I'd established. I'll definitely be back. Perfect place to work on yourself...
Read moreI know I'll have difficulty adequately describing my experience at the recent Yin Yoga Retreat but I'll do my best. ||From the moment I arrived, until the moment I left 4 days later, I felt welcomed & received with open hearts by the wonderful hosts, Randy & Amanda and their gorgeous son, Dexter. ||The first evening, Randy & Amanda welcomed us and shared that the retreat was a place to connect with self, connect with others and connect with the land. Well...I got all 3, in abundance. ||What a wonderful space & place to relax and do yin yoga for 4 days. Beautiful surroundings, beautiful people, beautiful food, amazing yin yoga classes, walks up the mountain, sailing, Kirtan and most of all, peace & stillness to calm my nervous system. ||I especially loved 2 yin yoga classes daily in which I could deeply relax & connect with my body.||I cannot recommend this retreat and hosts highly enough. ||Easily...
Read moreWe spent 3 weeks at Moutain Spirit. The place is wonderful, surrounded by mountains, with a view on the valley and Hawea flats. Quiet and peaceful, it is a good place to escape from big cities.||||Amanda & Randall are very welcoming and we felt comfortable to share with them ideas, ways of life, and visions. Their property is huge, they grow their own organic food, and their ways of life are sustainable for people and the planet.||Thank you again Amanda & Randall!||||As Wwoofers, we really felt being part of their family, sharing ideas and meals every night. This was a good opportunity for us to live in a remote place, and practice our skills in Non Violent Communication and learn Open Hearted Listening.||||Thank you again Amanda, Randall & Dexter for the time we spent together!||We wish you good luck for your wonderful projects!
