Peter's Lookout is an awesome photo spot and offers a spectacular view on Mount Cook.

The parking lot is right next to the spot so you don't have to walk to get those views.

As a landscape photographer I would like to give you 3 Quick tips for better photos at this spot:

Arrive early or late: You will have the best light at sunrise or sunset and it will give your photo a wonderful look. Use leading lines: Use the highway as a leading line in your photo to make it look more interesting. Try to shoot from different angles and positions, like close to the ground or try to bring something into the foreground of your photo.

I hope my little tips will help you take better photos at this magnificent spot. If you like you can visit my Instagram Profile domenic.boernicke for more photography tips and landscape photos from...

Great views of Aoraki and surrounding mountains, and a pathway where you can walk down to the lake shore. Picnic tables are conveniently located here so you can have a sit and...

It took us a little more than 30 mins from the lookout to Mt. Cook. Don't forget to take loads of pictures. I'd highly recommend that you visit this. Note: there's a...
