We have to give 5 stars! We are a German couple who spend my bf birthday there. We can confirm the very good ratings. We both ordered the menu (silver and gold). The food was very excellent and special. Our drinks got refilled without asking. Extraordinary was the service from Shivam. He did such a good job you would not expect at this small place. He is very customer orientated with really good manners. He made it feel like a high class restaurant. The food and the service deserve a much nicer location - like with a nice ocean or Mountain View - is was just so delicious!
The food we got was: 2x virgin mojito (very refreshing) Silver menu: yummy honey something something cauliflower, cooks Burger or so and warm brownie with gold glitter ice cream Gold menu: some kind of Chrispy chicken balls, lamb with Brokkoli and mashed potatoes in red wine sauce, same desert

Read moreI visited the vagabond chefs for the first time this week and I couldn’t have been more impressed! The customer service was incredible, the door was opened for me as I arrived (and as I left), the owner offered to take my coat and was extremely attentive throughout the meal without overdoing it. The Restaurant was very clean and tidy, gorgeously laid out in a way that made the most of the space and didn’t make the room feel cramped, and the lights hanging down above the table creates a nice atmosphere. I was generously given some free corn chips and salsa as an entree while I waited for the main which had the most exquisite seasoning on them and the Expresso martini might be the best I’ve ever tasted!
I ordered the lamb shank and it absolutely melted off the bone in the most tender delightful way, I didn’t even need to use the knife to get it off. I couldn’t rate the lamb any higher. The service was amazing: Our waiter was very kind and he offered great suggestions on what meals we should pick.
My wife picked the "Fried Chicken" for a starter and "Alfredo" for the main. She was very satisfied with her meal, which is saying something because she's pretty picky when it comes to her fried chicken :)
As for me, I picked the "Sultan Kebab" for my starter and "Bolognese" for me main. Both were amazing. Originally, I was going to get the "Lamb Meatballs" as my starter but the waiter recommended the kebab as a more interesting mix of spices. He was right: The kebabs were amazing!
I can definitely recommend the Vagabond Chefs to anyone looking for a great meal. The only downside I can think of is that they're out in Ferrymead which can be hard to get to if you don't drive. Still, the journey is well worth it for the service and food...
