Kinloch is a lovely place to visit, the lake has small pebbles, so definitely wear shoes when you go down to the lake. On the beach the locals have put together a small shed with donated toys, books etc for any kids visiting to play with, as long as they're returned after. I thought this was really neat.
2- They a have a park, public toilets, BBQ, rubbish bins nearby, again making this a great experience for visitors.
3- There is also a shop/Cafe near by across the road, so you can get food or extra supplies if need be. But it is busy.
4- I suggest you go early, if you're planning to spend the day out in Kinloch, by 11-12noon, the place is completely packed. So go early, get a good spot, and set yourself up...

Water was nice and clear and warmer than I expected. We were still in the water at 8pm no trouble. Beach is soft sand and fine, relatively smooth gravel, not too hard on the feet.
